havent wrote on here for a while, only went 2 weeks without a drink. last week drunk 4 times[ cant remember going to bed] hangovers 4 days, cant waste my life anymore. promosed my son on sat nite that would be my last drink. this is wednesday now [ 4 days sober ]. got tablets from doctor last year, that will make me sick if i have a drink, so took one today, as i will be on my own tonite. have looked on to rr site, avrt, but will have to go over it again and again to let it sink in. need to get the drink [ devil ] thought out of my head !!!!!!!! i am ok thro the day, but come 7/8 o clock p.m thats when i am bad. this last few days have been concentrating on decorating my livingroom to get my mind off of things. at the moment it is all black and cream, no colour, like my life i suppose lol 6.30 p.m away to have a coffee. thanks to all my friends on here for your support. xx

Hi Frostie...Good for you going to RR..just go back every day and yo\'ll get it. Even a moron can quit. Now, since you have taken that pill, you better damn well not drink! 100 yrs ago, I saw what happened to my daddy when he did and he ended up it the Emer. Rm. It was awful! Vomiting up blood and all. The history of that med goes like this....it is made up of stuff that was used to make tires!.. Years ago, the people who were working in this tire-mking factory started getting sick, violently sick. But..some didn\'t. It was found that the ones that were getting sick were drinkers of alcohol. Thus, the drug companies started producing the med you are now taking...a substance used in the making of tires. How about that? Scarey, huh? The Beast(devil) will never go away, honey, it is in the part of your brain that is your survival section(midbrain) but you are actually the master of yur midbrain using the top of your brain (the neo-cortex). So, actually you are the master of your Beast. It\'s that simple. The Beast says \"Feed me, I\'m hungry\" so you go get a sandwich(good). Your Beast says \"I\'m thirsty..so you go get a diet Pepsi) goood. Your Beast says , I need to breathe.. so you keep breathing...goood) Your Beast says \"I\"m so horny..so you have sex...gooood. tHE mid-brain is also PARTY CENTRAL!!!! The Beast says \" I want some vodka. I wany yo get high\"goood ( you are functioning normally)....you go get some vodka or drus and you use them..baaaaad. But the Beast says...gooood. Instead of drinking/drugs to satisfy the Beast...you say No Way...you are not getting any. The Beast is sad and you are happy. Gooood. Later the Beast says (cause even though the Beast has no arms, legs, car keys or $$$, it does talk to you in your head just like the food, drink, breathing etc that it asks for) . it says... AwwwwwwwwFrostie, youv\'e been such a goood girl for the last few days.... you deserve a drink. It is so slck! But you just say...No, you caan\'t have any. It\'s just as if you had a kid who is allergic to shrimp...\" But mom, just one, he cries. You say.. No way, kiddo, it\'ll kill you...are you nuts!\" And to shoe that you ARE the master of your midbrain...you know that you can actually hold your breath until you pass out....you can not eat if you want to and you can not quence you thirst if you want to and you can deny yourself sex if you want to. So.... what makes you think you cannot deny the Pleasure Beast of alcohol? Got it! Frostie, I have only been practcing AVRT for a litle over 3 weeks andf it amazes me how I can tell you all this stufff! I thank the good Lord for somehow directing me to Rational Recovery, cause I sure wasn\'t looking for it on my own. Your living room sounds lovely...It just need some bright colored Pillows ....a rainbow against the cream and black...throw in some gold, too. While your at it, throw some color into your life And don\'t take those pills, first of all they are dangerous, even if you don\'t drink, AND you don\'t need them! Yeah, I drank at night, too. But now, I go other things, fun stuff. Last nifgt I went and got my first spray-on tan and it looks soooooo nice. It was $30.00, lasts ten days. All the $ I spent on booze (45$ a week ) is now going to me and my fun stuff. Yes, Frostie, there is a Santa Claus and he is us... give yourself a gift! Love, Triss PS.. Oh hon, I KNOW where you are right now... We promise everything and anything... we promise the Lord that if He could make us better (after a bad hangover), that we would stop drinking. It\'s never that easy and the great Lord KNOWS this! Lord I wish I could say it was easy... I\'m STILL going through this... even after you stop, there\'s STILL that threatening habbit beating at you. Please... just that \'first\' NO! said to YOURSELF... that FIRST drink DENIED... is a BIG step!!! IF... if you fail that... KEEP TRYING... eventually it will KEEP and you will one day be able to go to a bar without having that first drink... no, you will never be able to go to a bar and have that ONE drink... get that thought out of your mind... it can never happen... but I...I... am here for you WHENEVER YOU NEED ME!!!
I have a different way of dealing with this addiction... I\'ve found a different religion... everyone has a different way of dealing with this... any way that helps you is the right way... so long as it keeps you and alchohol at bay... There are MANY people here who CARE about YOU!!! Whatever their religion!!!
