Hi, all, I don't write journals often, but here goes.  I accepted a new job on Friday.  I have been looking for a long long time for a suitable job closer to home that pays as well as the job I have.  I work in the Capital of my state and salaries are higher.  Well, I got lucky.  I have been with my present job for 9 years.  I have to tell my boss on Monday, that I am leaving.  This has been makeing me stress out and have anxiety all weekend.  He and I worked together well all these years and I am the longest assistant he as ever had.  Oh well, everyone can be replaced.  I am excited about my new job and  I will no longer be a legal assistant working in a law firm, but working as an administrative assistant for a college recruiting firm.  It is very cold here today, but the sun is out and the sky is so blue. My husband is coming home today after being gone over a week for work.  I will be glad to see him.  It has been lonely around here.  My dogs are great company though, they sleep with me, sit with me on the couch while I am watching TV and are always in the kitchen watching me when I cook.   I have enclosed a link to a card for all of you.  Enjoy  http://cardfountain.com/ecards/snggrndhg01/index.php?pid=21348&enm=1&aid

he will probably wonder why you didn\'t give him a chance to match the new offer or offer you even more. when i used to work for lawyers, that\'s what they always wanted when i would leave. every few years i STILL hear from two of the firms because good people are hard to find. you\'d be surprised how much money they will offer and just switch your title to validate the money even though the job is really the same pretty much. best of luck to you.
