Three weeks ago I was unemployed and despondent. Two weeks ago I took a job canvassing for a political organization. In the last two weeks I've done so well there, I'm taking management training courses this weekend... I still don't quite believe it... Life just got about 1000% better.

Thank you both. I\'m actually raising money for a nonprofit here in Portland advocating on behalf of the public. Last year Blue Cross wanted a 22% rate increase and my company beat them back to 11%. They managed to remove chicken of such poor quality from the school lunch program, the fast food industry wouldn\'t touch it. This year there lobbying congress to eliminate 40 billion from the farm bill going to subsidize corn syrup production, which has had the unintended effect of underwriting the childhood obesity epidemic... Which sounds dull here but really does help a lot of people. So doing well for myself at work means I\'m actually doing well for a lot of other folks as well. So its fun. But honestly, I\'m just glad to have a job again. But I\'m feeling deeply blessed
