Girls Night Slumber Party!Good music, good company, comfy clothes, acceptable weather and GREAT food:I've made:*Salmon mousse*Aveggie plate with snap peas, yellow organic carrots, english cucumber, celery ANDa cilantro-ranch dip*Blackberry lemonade*Home-made bread crumbs from french rolls as they are part of theingredients forsome of the items I'll put together this morning....... which include:*shrimp stuffed phyllo/pastry dough*veggie-stuffed baked mushroomsOh and I've also been marinating beef ribs in plum sauce (an offshoot of hoi sin sauce)for the last 12 hours and am going to slow roast them later todayThere will also be a single layer (and I'm going to use Godiva Choc powder in my mix) chocolate cake for dessert and I'm going to throw together some blueberry muffins for breakfast tomorrow morning to go with the fruit bowl (fresh blueberries, mango and pineapple) I'm doing.It's anovernighter so we can drink lemontini cocktails and champagne and no one will have to worry about driving.Now you'll have to excuse me so I can get my rear in gear and start cooking, prepping and last minute tidying for the big event. Oh, and Bear is being banished to the master bedroom for the evening as we don't want any "boy cooties" around our "girly goings-on"!I'll be back late Sunday to fill you in on all the details.......Smiling and singing under her breath, she wanders off to scoop the poop out of the pet cages and apply some colored "wood repair and rescue" to the gnaw marks (thank-you little Moondoggie) in all the trim boards!

I have made Shrimp LaJon and Clams Casino. Of course I refuse to use the clam shells because the stuffing is the main part. I have purple polka dot jammies with a lovely pink turban to match my fluffly dinosaur slippers. No one has to worry about Timmy\'s obsession with jammies unless your hinny hangs out and in that case you are liable to hear...\"Holy Shit\"...(his very favorite expression). Molly is reslendent in a pink flowing nitegown with pink ribbon twined throughout her hair... I admire Adam\'s fortitude in designing furry little Ms. Piggy slippers for all four feet. There is a bow on her short little tail. Cara is in her Wonder Womam underroos with gold slippers and a star crown. Mama has her hair in an upsweep with a net like scarf tied in a natty little bow. She is in the softest looking aqua jammies with a boa. Her slippers are aqua (she must match you know) with a small pink bow on each. Her robe is adorable it is a waffle weave in aqua with a lacy piping on the collar. Pat and Jan are dressed in ducky jammies with huge yellow slippers with orange beaks. Poor Bear....the way the boys have been communicating lately, he gets to share his master bedroom with them. He is really in for a night of it.
Molly has that devilish look on her face and I fear poor Moon Dogie will be haunted tonight! Sorry about the blueberry muffins girls...the kids smelled them cooking and two dozen got eaten before they had a chance to cool. Little Bill took the last one home to his mom. He did promise to come back early tomorrow to make corn muffins. That kid loves to eat but I think like his daddy he also loves to cook! He\'s fairly good at mixing up the scrambled eggs and even has his own ideas about what should be mixed in.
Well I\'m off to polish my guitar and tighten the strap. Maybe I will even put strings on it. HMMMM

Oh.... I seem to have the worst luck... as usual I was off somewhere... I don\'t know where... I hope you throw another slumber party Janine... I have pajamas of all kinds... I have a lovely elegant robe that Richard bought me several years ago... I hardly ever wear it and have been tempted to give it away...... flannel granny gowns... my soft blue terry cloth gown... red satin pajamas Cara bought me several years ago... a dark red... looks like Hugh Hefner type with feminine touches... oh my pink satin pjs... Cara bought those too... the jungle print long shirt satin... Cara bought that... oh my... I could stay for a couple of weeks and wear a different pj/gown/robe every night... Kimmie... I\'m too old to be getting \"friendly\".... well that\'s what people think... it makes them more comfortable... I mean goodness I\'m a grandma... I lose my glasses and find them on my head...
