Friday-Saturday-Sunday-Forever..........
I think I will now start changing my "costume"
during the intermissions and just possibly........
start a game of "Ring-Around-The-Hatsies"
(you know............ while you're all going around in circles to the music......... I'll be stealing your hats!)
The Mad Hatter (that would be ME ya'll) is having a Tea Party (cause that's what Mad Hatters DO!) and ALL of you are invited! Naturally I'll be serving tea, both iced and hot as being mad tends to leave me a little indecisive from time to time.........
........ and some ladyfingers (whatever does one put on the bread to "accompany" the taste of finger?) of which my guests will NOT be asked to contribute as I know how important it is to have all one's digits attached at a tea party because however else could you manage to get that signature pinkie up in the air at the appropriate "I'm WAY cooler than you" degree of tilt....
hmmmmmmmm..........
Tilted pinkies........ tilted Hatter...........
....... tilted pinball machines.......
all is quite well with my frame of mind (read: TILTED!).
Now where was I?............ Oh yes, food..........
It appears we will also be having a lovely cockatiel quiche as Penelope has kindly laid another egg for us in her box in the office (to which she has returned after breakfast and a "birdlike" sip of water)........ and no, I will not be inviting her to the party. One Mad Hatter is more than enough thank you very much!.......
But if we have a dish of sunflower seeds and raisins I'm reasonably certain the somewhat corpulent Evil Chin would LOVE to attend!........
Oh....... and I think the music should be:
(drum-roll pluheeeeeeze)
The Flight of the Bumblebee!
I must however........
insist that everyone who attends BYOH!
(Bring Your Own Hat)
*big smile, showing lots of teeth with the accompanying rolling of fingers and the exactly appropriate amount of eyeball rolling.........
and this would be a really good moment to consider whether or not you REALLY want to attend a party with a Hatter WHO IS MAD!*

I am here! Wearing a lovely Edwardian Era plush wide brim hat in chocolate velvet with ostrich plumes of a complementary hue...tilted of course. Pinkie extended and tilted...tea please?
\"Here\'s a riddle: When is a croquet mallet like a billy club? I\'ll tell you: whenever you want it to be.\"
Tell me Hatter...Can you stand on your head? The King and Queen would argue you cannot behead a bodyless cat.
\"Only some find the way, some don\'t recognize it when they do, some don\'t ever want to.\"
\"Every adventure requires a first step. Trite, but true, even here.\"
I shall come and wear my mouse skin hat complete with tail. You shall readily recognize me from my grin.
I do... we can all be quite mad together... well... we need some sane folks... it is so much fun to shock them... My hat my hat... reminds me of a talking book I bought my grandson years ago... I will never think of the phrase my hat in quite the same way... Can I wear my spangled dress cut down to there... with a feather boa and whatever kind of hat a gangster moll would wear... I\'ve always wanted to ride in a gangster type of car... I like the PT Cruisers for that reason... they\'re something like that... and I\'m no slim gangsters moll... I\'m the loud mouth broad telling the boys to get out of the way I\'m coming through... Oh what fun this tea party is... yes just a wee bit of lemon please....
Carasmom, you need a cloche for your topper...I have one handy so here you are my Dear. It matches your feather boa quite nicely! Now, please pass the crumpets. What, no crumpets? This truly is mad!
I have cucumber sandwiches and scones but the crumpets were \"crummy\" so I HAT to throw them out!
hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehheheheheheheh
......... and P has kindly donated a tail-feather (her price for admission as she wouldn\'t stop screaming until I opened the door)..........
or perhaps not-so-kindly, but there\'s an extra feather for somebody\'s hat up for grabs!.........../...
Well, here I am so now you can get this party underway (LOL!). I\'m sporting my cream satin dress accompanied by my exquisite vanilla cream topper complete with feathers. A cup of tea with lemon and one lump of sugar please......O\' and I\'m sure Mr. Magoo (My sisters male cockatoo) could keep P occupied for awhile. He\'s quite the ladies man. I\'ll let him out the window and send him right over............
Scrumptious vanilla ensemble, HeavensTears! Well, Janine, I do suppose that I shall have a scone, as soon as I recover my head...seems to be missing...last I knew I was hitting a croquet ball...
When the Hatter puts on the crown of the Queen..........
well, then everyone needs to beware being beheaded by
the most beastly \"bat\" (as in she\'s an old bat!) at the ball!
And by the way.............
speaking of balls.............. (croquet of course!)
if you mess with the Hatter Queen
your head is fair game!
speaking of balls...I never wear short skirts for fear they will show...croquet of course!
I MUST ATTEND THIS GLAMOROUS TEA PARTY. I\'LL GO PUT ON MY FINE HAT AND JEWELS. TOO MUCH FUN HERE FOR ANY CRAZY LADY TO MISS!!!!!! I HOPE I\'M NOT TOO LATE!!!!!
Just in time, Wanamaker! So glad you shall be attending the madness...
Alas! Just the invite I\'ve so been waiting for. Perhaps I shall wear silk, yes silk it is...only mine is bright purple! I do hope I don\'t affend anyones senses here...just kidding darlings..I really do not care....and here it is my lovely purple feather boa! I don\'t have any shoes to match so excuse my bare feet wont you ladies? Oh and I\'ll have 2 lump please...I like it sweet.
\"It\'s simply delightful and I\'m so glad to see you all here. It truly is wonderful to see such a motley yet ever so lovely group here. I must thank you Janine for the invitation. I haven\'t had such a grand time in simply ages.\" Would you believe I\'ve never seen Alice...in Wonderland that is. Apparently I missed out on a great one though.
Forgive the misspellings...I just got so overly excited to be invited to this grand event that my fingers aren\'t able to keep up with me.
I love you Sis. You look marvelous! ;)
Barefoot, barefoot, barefoot I command!
You can\'t play croquet unless your toes can dig into the sand.
Then back for more tea and a cookie or three
and I think I shall hire us a band!
