I'm so very blessed to have the love and support I have found in this place.
It is such a gift to know that I can come here and find acceptance without judgement. Encouragement without criticism. Wise counsel without attack and love without limits...............
This place is like a Christmas tree and all the brightly wrapped gifts nestled underneath it are mine and just waiting patiently for me to pull off their ribbons and lift up the box-covers to reveal the treasures within.....

Penelope laid an egg this morning (unfertilized as she is still technically a virgin!) and at last the tension has abated. What is it about us girls and the whole damn egg thing?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear, even in menopause I'm still susceptible to the "pressure build-up" that accompanies the life cycle of the female of the species!!!! ;o-)
Oh, and apparently she's decided that there is CLEARLY something going on down on the floor (I think it's because she sees me on it so often with Luna) because she has taken to flying over to the sofa and then climbing down the arm onto the carpet where she wanders around like a little doggie sniffing around for that BAD KITTY that "the mama" has hidden around here somewhere.........
or, in this case, the EVIL CHIN who mama spends so much time on that very same floor alongside....
Do they make a cockatiel sized vacuum?.......
Cause as long as she's there..........

OH Penelope how I commiserate with her! I am forever laying eggs....it may be the broken filter in my brain or the inability to screen the words that fall from my face...but eggs they are. I fear a mini vacuum would never clear the messes I make with my incessant commentary and untamed curiosity. Evil Chin and I may have a lot in common....
Penelope hasn\'t time to vacuum...she\'s too busy feather dusting! Sorry, just could not resist the temptation! And yeah, the whole damn egg thing and menopause...grrrrrrrrrrrr...I identify. ((((hugs))))

PS-Is it possible to have Penelope shipped to me??? I cound use a shoulder to lean on from time to time, albeit quite narrow a bird is usually good to go fro hours. I miss my cockatiel!

I don\'t know if I told you... but our little dog duchess was on a special diet the last couple of years of her life... and she didn\'t like it... she was forever scrounging... Whenever I was cooking she\'d be dancing around hoping oh dear that poor baby... she wanted mama to drop something so bad... anyway she always had her nose to the floor... and I used to tell Richard I wanted to attach one of those little hand vacs to her... Penelope and Luna sound like so much fun... I\'m glad you\'re sounding so well... Sorry it seems like I haven\'t written in much too long and I so love your writing... Hugs Elissa
