It feels like a lot has changed and yet at the same time nothing has changed. It's a lot of the same ol same ol. But there are some positive changes...I think.
I've been working hard to try to be a bit more independent and less dependent on my parents. I love them to death but I need to try spreading my wings and being my own person. It's hard trying to find balance though. I'm forcing myself to take the bus a bit more and relying less on rides from mom's "taxi". That doesn't mean I'll never take her up on rides and errand days but that I can do a healthy amount of both and that I am not fully dependent on her. I've started doing a bit of laundry here instead of sending it out to their place. I can't stand the laundry room here and sometimes my clothes come out smelling like cigarette smoke which is worse then the dirty laundry smell in my opinion...but I'm figuring out a work around that is a healthy more natural solution.
I've been super interested in learning about essential oils and finally for Christmas received some so I've been exploring their uses and it seems to at the very least help with the laundry smell issue. I've also been using them in baths and daily to help with sleep and energy and different things depending on what is needed. My sister and I went to a cozy little informal class on essential oils and it's super interesting. I'm really excited to continue learning about their many uses and benefits.
I am the proud new owner of a therapy light (SAD light, or whatever the proper term is). I'm not a super huge fan of it (so darn bright) but I do think it's helping. Although stuff keeps happening to mess with my sleep wake...I was doing okay and then I was sick last week and slept a off and on for 24 hours which messed me up and now my period is screwing with things and doesn't seem to want to start properly....so the hormones are screwing with my sleep/wake...and I've been a bit more active/independent which is also affecting things...but so many changes so it's not really surprising and I'm just trying to ride with it.
My mouth is sore...I'm not sure why. While eating an apple the other day (I only it sliced up) my gums swelled up and are still swollen and sore a couple days later. And today I have a couple canker sores on my tongue. Not sure what sort of tricks my body is trying to play but well I'm just trying to ride with that too and take it one day at a time.
Ebby is doing well, she's the queen of the apartment as usual. My sister got a new kitten just a week and a half ago. I went out to meet her yesterday and she is such a sweetie...couldn't have gotten a better personality for their home. She's already ruling her household and taking charge over the 2 big dogs that are her new sisters. She is so tiny, she's only 9 weeks but is small for her age (was the smallest of the litter) and looks much too small to have free run of the big big house but she acts like she's always been there. Such a brave little princess. Haha.
Anyway, must go...I'm so behind schedule today and I think my parents are planning to stop in at some point for a visit.

I was just reading about mouth sores yesterday and something called lysine + (I think). You might want to Google it.
