I'm doing okay I guess...tired and winding down for bed which is a good thing.  I saw the doctor at the sleep clinic and he's given some options to try, I can't do much of anything until after Christmas as there really just isn't a point in trying to regulate sleep during such a chaotic time so I agreed that in the new year when things get back to a more typical routine that I'll give it my best attempts then.  A few suggestions are a sleep mask to get things as dark as possible, light therapy for 30 min every morning (so I need to look into getting a light), he thinks I'm on a delayed sleep cycle so to start I won't be going to bed until about 4am and getting up around noon.  He also sent me for some blood work and we'll discuss possible treatment for the restless legs in the new year.

I saw also saw my psychiatrist and we've talked about some options because of my recent mood fluctuations and the intensity of the urges combined with the fact this time of year gets overwhelming and crazy and she's left the final decision up to me but we talked about doing a short term med increase of my prozac.  I said I'm not 100% it's the route I want to take but I also don't want to go downhill and give in to any urges or end up in a bad depression especially this time of year.  I said any other time of year I'd be content to just ride things out but that with the extra stressors that come up I want to be more proactive.  Anyway, not sure yet what I'll do in terms of the meds but it's an approved option.

Anyway, that's the update for now.  Time to get a night snack and take my magnesium and go to bed.

I know this sounds crazy but it works for my husband\'s restless legs. Put a bar of ivory soap between the sheets at the foot of your bed. He says it helps. There is lots of information about it on line. But it can\'t hurt.

I\'m going to have to remember to pick up a bar of ivory soap sometime and give it a try
