Things have been a bit busy lately and when they haven't been busy I've been completely exhausted.
It's been a rough week for a lot of people I know. Various people I know and/or know of have loved ones in hospital going through serious issues. Another family I know with a medically fragile child, lost their little girl at the young age of 2 years old. I can't imagine their devastation.
Then for the last 30 hours there was a lot of chaos in our neighbouring province of New Brunswick. An armed gunman shot and killed 3 police officers and wounded 2 others...the area of north Moncton was in lock down (an area that I have family members) while a search was on for the individual responsible. Thankfully in the past couple hours, at 12:10am, he was successfully taken into to custody.
Maybe I think too much, but in my head are swirling around so many answered questions. Maybe I read too many speculations from too many different sources and am just paranoid. Time will tell. I feel like suddenly on a new day, just after midnight, he suddenly was so willing to be captured and allowed them to take him into custody without a fight. Something just feels off to me. I don't know. I am super happy he's been caught and arrested don't get me wrong...but doesn't it seem weird? Anyway...I hope my uneasy feeling is just me. I can't even really explain it.
In other news, in less then a week I'll be in Ontario! Excited!
And in yet other news, I've developed an annoying and mildly itchy but kinda burny rash on one side of my neck, some of my face and I think a bit on my chest. It started over 24 hours ago. It doesn't appear to be allergies which was my first thought as I was snuggling a little kitty at my nephews place. Damn cat allergies but thoroughly washing and cleaning the area and allergy meds have had no affect on the rash whatsoever. I'm keeping a close eye on it and if it gets worse or isn't better in a couple days I'll get it checked out. I've had viral rashes in the past more then once and I have a hunch that is what this is...which means there's really nothing that can be done, it'll just have to run it's course. Which sucks...because I don't want it to mess with my vacation. It's also possible it could be some weird lupus rash or from the sun or from the plaquenil or a combo of all of the above. *shrugs* Dunno.
Speaking of Lupus...my excellent rheumatologist that I love and was so blessed to find is moving away to the other side of the country so I have to get a new one. :( I hate when you find a doctor/specialist you are really happy with and that happens. He is trying to get me in to see who he considers to be the best rheumatologist around though so maybe it'll be a good thing.
Anyway, it's almost 2:30am so I should get to bed. Just a little wound up after hearing that the suspect was finally arrested and that there were no more injuries or fatalities relating to this.

So sorry to hear about the annoying rash.
I hope your trip to Ontario is loads of fun. I have a lot of relatives around the province. My grandparents were from there.
It is so crazy scary when these mass murders happen. Lock downs in schools and neighborhoods are terrifying. Police investigators are very smart. Relax know they are doing their jobs.
