Here's a bit of what I said to a friend tonight when she made the connection that my moods seem to get worse after I've had my day of facebook...she was asking if it might be withdrawal.
"Dunno...I think fb gives me a false sense of security and this time away from it gives me a chance to think and realize how unhappy I am with my life and how it feels like such a waste
I want to be doing something purposeful with my life but I keep getting stuck in my head and it essentially paralyzes me
I want to live with purpose but am too stuck/trapped to do so...and I don't know how to get unstuck so I end up wanting to hurt myself"
This is a small excerpt of what goes on in my head but I wanted to record it so if I start back with a therapist I'll have some examples to use instead of just making small talk or having my mind go blank.

Maybe start with one small intentional life affirming thing you do every day. Be intentional...leave yourself a note or write it on calendar.
it might be sending a card to someone on Mondays or working on your kitty project every Tuesday. To live with purpose ask God for help. One day recently I asked Him and He told me \"just keep breathing\".I didn\'t understand but I did it and my bad feelings did pass. Being obedient to Christ is living a life of purpose.
Keep on keeping on. Review your Lenten commitments. It will get better.
