Wow, a long day it has been but I've made out relatively okay.  It started at some inhumane hour (for a non morning person anyway) of about 5:30am...BEFORE the alarm clock even went off.  6am was enema prep for the sigmoidoscopy...which really isn't that big of a deal....at least not this time around.  I don't think it worked as well as it did my previous time using it but I guess it was sufficient.  Arrived at the hospital at 9am....wait about 10 years (okay closer to minutes) for the ancient elevator to arrive then up to the correct unit and grab a number, wait to register, register, wait to get gowned up, get gowned up, wait in another waiting area for actual appointment, get called in, realize oh crap I really need to pee, run to the washroom, try to rush things as the nerves/anxiety kicked in along with the plain overtired and starved (too early to eat) nerves are going crazy too.  Get back, do the little doctor chat thing then crawl onto the crazy tilt-a-whirl table and get into position while the nurse carefully pulls down my underwear (damn period has the most wonderful timing)...doctor does the rectal, then partially does the sigmoidoscopy but decided not to do too much as he didn't want to irritate the area further.  Writes a prescription, tells me to stop another prescription, go see him again in 3-4 months to see how the new prescription is working.  If it's not then there's other options...botox and then surgery if that doesn't work.  I don't remember all the things he said and explained...I was in and out by about 10am.  I'm not usually even awake at that point.  Wait another 10 years for the elevator, get off on the wrong floor, explore this floor in an attempt to find an alternate way out or different set of elevators that aren't so ridiculously slow...find other set of elevators...even better see a set of stairs...down to the correct floor and high tail it out of the hospital...into the cold snowy outdoors in a rush to get to the car and get to Tim's for a coffee and then home for breakfast and meds (after a quick stop to drop prescription at pharmacy were I'm told it'll take a day or two because they have to order it in).

Got home, did the food and med thing and more or less crashed for an hour or so while mom was still here so she decided to stick around and do some tidying.  She was here until about mid afternoon and then off she went and I have no idea what I've been doing since other then trying to organize my bookmarks on the computer.  Today is the beginning of Lent so I've been staying off of Facebook and it's driving me nuts.  Seriously nuts.  It's actually pretty sad how dependent I am on that social media site....some of it is semi-necessity with the cat rescue support but mostly it's just a time thief.  3 more full days before I can do the Sunday check-in.  I deleted it off my phone completely and all the easy links to it on my computer I deleted as well.

Well, it's only about 9:30pm but I'm thinking of making an herbal tea, watching some netflix, then winding down for bed.  I want to start reading my devotionals again which I've slacked off on a few weeks ago and figure today's the day to add it back into my daily routine. I've got a sore throat and I really hope I don't catch anything that's going around or have any infections starting from my recent dental appointment.  Gotta remember to use the Listerine tonight even though it is sooooo strong I can hardly stand it.

If the Listerine bugs you just use some peroxide and then rinse with water. It will kill the germs.
Good for you giving up Facebook! That is a sacrifice. I\'ve added a few things but haven\'t found something to give up yet.
