I'm quite happy today....for kind of a silly reason.  I think this has been the first time in OVER a year since I had a BM that wasn't completely painful.  Still a little bit but far improved from what it was.  I feel like maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel...so to speak...lol.

I did some further testing on sensitivities called a Meridian Stress Test.  It confirmed that I was on the right track with the dietary changes and added in a couple other things.  It's really nice to see the proof that I really am doing the right things.  I don't have to eat gluten free anymore but I do still have to avoid anything with wheat so when I eat out it's easier to just say gluten free.  I have to avoid all cow dairy except butter because of sensitivities to both casien and lactose.  Soy and tomatoes which I already knew.  Wine (both red and white...cries), and then things I tried to avoid anyway like Aspartame and MSG.  Yeast is the other one....thankfully toasting bread products (wheat free of course) helps kill off the yeast.  Then there's a few things I have to limit to no more then twice a week.  Almond milk (I'm assuming the nuts as well but I need to verify), sugar (cane & brown), apple, and egg yolk.

I also found out that I have heavy metal toxicity and have too much arsenic in my body which actually explains a lot of the symptoms.  So I've been started on a detox called Chlorella.  It's basically an algea so it's natural and food based...however there is a chance that because I have a positive ANA/dsDNA (autoimmune factors) that it could overstimulate my immune system.  It's a risk I'm taking as there are far more potential benefits right now then risks.  Besides that it can actually increase white blood cells which I need it to.

Well, I have an appointment with my naturopathic doctor today for accupuncture and I'm looking forward to it.  It's my absolute favorite appointment as it helps amazingly with my energy.  It's weird but I'm not complaining.  A lot of people get all weirded out when I talk about accupuncture because of the needles...but they're so small.  You sometimes feel a little pinch when they go in but other then that you just lay there for however long and relax until they're taken back out.  And it WORKS!  It's like the easiest treatment ever.  Way better then swallowing a pill or getting bloodwork or anything else.

Oh, on another note, this is Ebby's (my cat's) 3rd Halloween.  She's a black cat so that makes Halloween a bit special to me. Time has flown since I got her. She came to me as a foster in September 2011 and has changed my life in so many ways for the better.  I don't think I'd be doing nearly so well with my mental health if it wasn't for her.  I'm a proud failed foster momma.  Hopefully there's many more years and Halloween's ahead.

One other important piece of news.  November 6 will mark 2 years since I've been in hospital, cut, or overdosed.  There was a time I couldn't imagine making it 1 day!  It's hard to believe how far I've come.  I will never say I won't go back to those things and behaviours...I don't know what the future holds and I know that when I'm stressed and overwhelmed those thoughts are the first to creep back in...but I definitely don't plan to ever go back to those things and I hope that I can continue counting up the years since the last time I've done those things.

I am so delighted and happy for you. I remember praying with you during those dark days years ago. God truly continues to answer your prayers.
I know you probably know this but cilantro and parsley are great for ridding the body of heavy metals. Put some in your salad or make pico de gallo.

Ellocin, I so proud of you. It\'s great to hear that things are going well for you. I know you still have troubles some days but it sounds like overall you are doing much better. Acupuncture is awesome! I did it for my migraines at a headache and pain center, it was amazing! congrats on the two years! I\'m at 7mo\'s of no hospital and 2 1/2 years on the self injury. I\'m so glad Ebby is so good for you. It makes me smile and warms my heart when I hear how healing she has been to you. I hope that continues for a very long time! Things in Indiana are going well. It\'s been hard recently but I\'m managing through. Please keep me in your prayers. The schedule is about to get really crazy with all the holidays coming up. I love you and I hope to hear from you soon.

I actually didn\'t know that Nan....will look into getting some cilantro and/or parsley next time I\'m at the store. Thank you. I too remember those dark days all too well and thinking I\'d never survive them. Thank you for your prayers, God truly is wonderful.

Rachael, thanks so much! I\'m so proud of you too! Will be keeping you in my prayers as always. Ebby truly is a gift from God. The whole process of getting her was a complete God thing. I haven\'t a doubt about it. Just too many things to all be coincidence. Hang in there...would love to hear about how things are going there and what kind of things you are learning if you ever get the chance.

***BIG HUGS*** to both of you!
