Honestly, not a whole lot to write about...at least I don't think...we'll see as I get started. :) The yeast still appears to be resolved but doctors orders are to keep treating until I see the specialist on the 15th. So I will...I'm not taking any chances of it coming back. The fissures are ongoing but I think maybe slightly improving. They are so frustrating and annoying. I'm still working on incorporating all the right groups of foods into my diet...I seem to be a bit bad with the veggies recently so need to work on that. Was so busy trying to figure out the protein instead. It's all learning though....and it's all improvement.
Last weekend I did something I never would have done before. I went to my cousins 30th birthday party. Sounds like not a big deal to most but it was for me. We had a bunch of cabins rented and I knew (and was comfortable) with everyone staying in the cabin I was so it helped. I'm just not into the party scene especially since there's people I don't know there and even among those I know I feel so awkward and out of place. I survived so it's all good.
It seems now though that I have caught my sisters cold. Grrr. Ah well. Such is life. I feel gross but I'll live. It will come to pass. It's in my lungs mostly...which is both good and bad. At least my nose (so far) is clear.
Today was the first day I did my weigh in (using my wii balance board and wii fit) that my BMI showed in the "Normal" range! I think it was 59.2kg...I haven't done the conversion yet so I'm not sure in pounds...though I'm guessing around 131-ish. I'm so proud of myself for getting there. I expect it will fluctuate a bit as that seems to be my trend but overall that is just an awesome encouragement to see. Most of the weight I lost has been through dietary changes. Mostly portion control (sooooo hard sometimes). I still have my cheats and indulgences but it's more of an exception then the rule.
I've learned my system cannot really handle anything at all with wheat. I feel miserable. I still need to stay away from dairy. And I'm suspecting possibly soy as well...I had something the other day with mayo on it (and we've been questioning mayo for a bit) so I read the ingredient list and realized soya oil is main ingredient....therefore leading me to believe I may be sensitive to soy as well. Right now that's a theory but I won't be surprised if I have to eliminate that too...it's fairly common sensitivity for people.
Oh...not sure if this is from before I posted before or more recent...so I'll post now... When I saw my psychiatrist we talked about a trial reduction in my prozac...and she agreed I could try it. So for the past week and a bit (or maybe 2 weeks) I've been on 20mg instead of 30mg. So far it's going well. Considering at one point I had been on 60mg plus additional mental health meds and I'm only on the prozac now as a regular med I'm impressed. I do on rare occasion take trazadone if I'm struggling with sleep and my head space is getting into a negative wanting to self harm space...but only for a few days and that's it. A far cry from where I once was.
Alright onto Gratitude:
1. Grateful for the sun and the warmer weather
2. Grateful I was able to do something completely out of my comfort zone recently
3. Grateful that I'm able to listen to church sermons online...I haven't quite made it to church yet but it's a goal for the near future (was hoping tomorrow but think I'll keep away with these cold germs and aim for next week)

So proud of you! It sounds like you are making a lot of good, although hard, improvements in your life. I can\'t imagine being allergic to wheat, I eat so much of it, I can\'t imagine going without. So proud of your medication reduction and stabilization of your weight. Big accomplishments. Congrats on going to that party, it is the little things that make the biggest impact. Hope you feel better soon with that cold. Take care! Hugs!
You are doing fabulous! I agree soy is a big problem for some people.I have trouble with oats on top of being gluten free. You learn as you go along.I know there is mayo made with olive oil or you can make your own it isn\'t hard if you have a food processor. Have you tried the d\'Oro corn noodles? Good and cheap! Also for a treat make a flourless chocolate cake. Yummy!
