Not much going on.  Surprise surprise.  Well...actually....I am looking into going back to school...but wouldn't start for almost two years yet.  I think I want to become a registered holistic nutritionist (RHN)!  I'm pretty excited! I'm really interested in natural healing and learning about nutrition so this fits perfectly and is something that even if I can't make a career of after graduating I can still use in my day to day life. I think so many of our illnesses, diseases, and disorders today can be controlled, if not cured, with proper nutrition.  That said, traditional medicine still has it's place.  There just needs to be more balance between the two and more acknowledgement from the "Western" medical community that it's not all about medicine.  Of course, I doubt that will ever fully happen...there's too much money to be made from chronically sick people.  That said, I also probably wouldn't be here without said meds (anti-depressants....hello Prozac!) but am working on learning to change that and seeing if it is possible to be without.

With my psychiatrists okay, I am doing a trial decrease of Prozac.  So as of yesterday I am now taking 20mg a day instead of 30mg.  I don't know if it'll work this time around and if I'll successfully be able to stay at 20mg but considering over a year ago I was on 60mg plus additional meds for anxiety I'm cautiously optimistic and I think it's worth a try now that I'm making other healthy changes too.

In other worldly news, one suspect in the Boston bombing is dead and the other is in custody.  I have such mixed emotions.  Honest, maybe I shouldn't even write this, as I know a lot feel differently then I do....but he's 19 years old.  Yes, he knows (or should) right from wrong and I'd like to believe he knew that this is wrong (although I could be hopelessly naive).  To me, I just can't help think...how young....what a waste of a life...you think at 19 you know everything but really you don't...and there is really so much more out there then a 19 year old (oh heck even a 31 year old like me) can comprehend.  I certainly don't know it all.  I agree he needs to be held accountable for his involvement...but I wonder how much was influenced by his brother and he was just going along.  I feel bad for the family.  Losing 1, possibly both, of their children.  I just can't help think of the "what-could-have-been's"....suspect "white hat" as they were calling him, could've had so much potential...and I wonder what exactly was going through his mind the last few days.  But all that said, I'm glad he was captured.  Does any of this even make sense?  I think I'm just rambling.
