There's a few things going on lately. One...the yeast infection is making a comeback and I hadn't even stopped the treatment...so I'm being extra careful and limiting sugars even more and trying to eat even healthier while still doing the nystatin/hydrocortisone cream and candigen cream. Saw my doctor on Tuesday and have to go back again in a few weeks for a recheck...hoping it's fully gone by then.
I have a gyne appointment tomorrow that is suppose to be for a recheck pap. I talked to the nurse today and they probably won't be able to do it as I'm on my period but they still want me to go in anyway. Joyful. Not only that but my regular doctor is on sabbatical so it's a doctor I don't know...who's a male...and (trying really hard not to be judgmental here) foreign. Just hoping I can understand him okay and feel comfortable.
Another thing going on recently...and this is NOT about me but a local family that has made international news. Rehtaeh Parsons, a 17 year old, who committed suicide and was just taken off of life support and passed away... she was raped and bullied and the system utterly failed her. While a large part of her story differs from mine...it's still hitting me kinda hard. It so easily could be my family going through that horrific grief...I've come so close to dying from suicide attempts and so I am just feeling a whole mix of things in relation to this. I'm safe, no worries there, I am NOT in crisis....just feeling what I imagine are normal human emotions given the circumstance.
I'm trying to focus on positives but my thoughts keep drifting back to all the what if's and what could have been. I'm thankful now for life, but I am horribly saddened and I really hope that things change around here before another life is lost.
Gratitude:
1. Grateful that I've made it through the valley of hell, more then once, and am breathing and alive today
2. Grateful for a God that sustains me, he breathed for me when I know longer had it in me to breath, he kept his hand on me even when I denied him, he saved me and gave me life.
3. Grateful for quiet days at home, visits from friends, and a silly kitty who never fails to make me laugh.
