Oh my goodness...I haven't been keeping up here at all. I have been having a rough time and struggling with God but am starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel.
My roommate and I weren't getting along for awhile but we are again now...but we have decided it's time to move apart. We're putting in our notice for August 1.
I've been freaking out because to be honest I had no idea what I was going to do. Rooms and apartments are nearly impossible to come by in my price range and as far as the public housing goes there's still like 40 people ahead of me on the list. So I was looking at either couch surfing among family and friends...whoever would let me stay or trying to find another place...and I really didn't want to end up with just any roommate. Ideally I'd rather not have a roommate at all.
But one of the ladies from church has offered me a room in her apartment! In my price range, with everything included even meals. She works backshift and evenings quite often and is an awesome lady. She's also the mother of one of my new friends from church who I'm connecting quite well with...and grandmother to her three daughters as well as adopted "grandmother" to some of the youth. I'm actually really excited and am hoping to see the place soon.
My roommate also has a place to go and is really excited. So it looks like things will end on a happier note and we're both satisfied with the way things are turning out.
Also, my psychiatrist is connecting me with some case workers at the mental health clinic that may know some more options about housing so I can maybe get a place on my own.
I'm still loving my church even though it's a rough journey right now and there's a lot of unknowns....but I do feel so at home there.
God really is amazing. It's so hard not knowing what's coming next but I know He's got it all worked out. Anyway...lots of changes coming in the next few months but I am excited.
