Got this in an email and wanted to share it (may have shared it in the past but it's a good one)...regular entry below story:  The Mouse Story with a Moral . . . A mouse looked through the crackin the wall to see the farmer andhis wife open a package. What food might this contain?'The mouse wondered - - -he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap. Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning : There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!' The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, 'Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it.' The mouse turned to the pig and told him, 'There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!' The pig sympathized, but said, I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers.' The mouse turned to the cow and said 'There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!' The cow said, 'Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose.' So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap . . alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey. The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught.   In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife.  The farmer rushed her to the hospital , and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient. But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the  pig. The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered toprovide enough meat for all of them. The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness. So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember ---- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk. We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another. One of the best things to hold onto in this world is a FRIEND Have a great week Be good to yourself ~~~~~~~~~ See, told you it was a good one!  :) Had a great time a few days ago at my cousins party!  It was crazy but in a good way...as I knew it would be.  Any get together involving this particular family member always makes for a good time.  Her daughters and husband surprised her with the news that they are going to go to the Big Apple (New York City) in December...a dream of hers!  I don't recall ever seeing her so surprised and excited ever!  She's usually the one surprising everyone else.  It was awesome!   There were probably at least 50 people there at any given time.  It was open to anyone and everyone....so it was a little crazy but it didn't bother me too much.  My other cousin kept handing me bottles of beer so that kinda helped a bit.  It was actually kinda funny because a couple people asked me if I was old enough to be drinking....I had to laugh because I know I look so young for my age.  People are more inclined to think I am 17 (if that) instead of 27.  So when asked I'd make the person guess my age.  It used to bug me when I was younger...now I just think it's funny.   I did find out some sad news though...my sisters dog whom we love very much bit another dog.  My sister is very upset and is hoping that her dog doesn't get taken away.  This is her second offense so technically she should be issued a muzzle order but animal control here is on a power trip and sometimes doesn't abide by the rules.  My sister paid all the vet bills of the other dog and has contacted a well known dog trainer in the area to see what his opinion is of the behavior and if he thinks she can be trained.  She just gets super excited and sometimes territorial around other dogs...she was a shelter dog that my sister rescued and has had some issues but she is a generally a good dog.  She is regularly around other dogs without incident and we're not sure why she snapped at this other dog, but she was easy to get away from the other dog.  The owner of the other dog, one of them (the husband), has been really good and said they didn't want to press charges or anything as long as the vet bills were covered...the wife on the other hand is parading her dog around the subdivision showing off the wounds and telling everyone what happened...this is after being told to let the dog rest and stay in quarantine for a few days.  I am thinking this lady just likes all the attention.  She's the one who has decided to report to animal control and keeps saying my sisters dog should be put down.  This is a dog who the next day I was able to kiss her nose and lay my head on her as if she was a pillow and feel completely safe with.   Onto Sunday which was my other sisters birthday.  We had another family get together for pizza and cake.  It was a good time, though thankfully not as chaotic as Friday nights party.   Today is Monday, I had an appointment with Occupational Therapy for 12:45pm and thankfully it is at my apartment or I would not have made it.  I woke up to her knocking on the door.  I slept like 12 hours last night and am still exhausted.  I've been having lots of issues with my energy lately I think partially because of my diet not being as healthy as usual and partially from time of month...it's really zapping my energy this time around.  I'll get back on track though...I'm determined. Also, looking into some new places to apply to volunteer since the Salvation Army one isn't working out.  It'll probably work out for the better anyway.
