Quick update before I go hop into bed.  It's almost 1am here. I had an appointment with my psychologist this morning at 10am.  All went well but we ended up spending the entire time talking about art which was awesome.  He even told me that there is a possibility that we may be able to get my disability insurance to cover the cost of me taking a photography (or other artsy) course.  Part of my rehabilitation with structure and being in group environment so it will help prepare me to work again.  So that would be pretty sweet!  *fingers crossed* After that I did a lot of walking.  I went to Blockbuster just because I haven't been there in forever but of course that's a dangerous place to go in.  I ended up coming out like an hour later (just guessing on the time...it was awhile) and $20+ poorer.  But I got 3 previously viewed DVD's.  Fireproof, No Reservations, and Music & Lyrics.  It was buy 2 get 1 free.  Originally I wanted to get one called Eve and the Fire Horse...but it was a $4.99 one and so I wanted to get more for my dollar where the other 3 were a little more expensive.  After that checked out some other cool little shops.  One my psychologist told me about is all kinds of handmade cards and cool papers (for wrapping, crafting, etc) and things like that.  It was totally awesome.  Then went into a bead store and a book store and an Asian store where I purchased a can of Lychee.  I dunno...I have tried things that are Lychee flavored so I guess I'll just have to wait until I open the can and taste the fruit to see if I like the canned fruit version.  I would prefer to buy fresh fruit but so far it seems by the time it makes it to the produce section of the stores here it's past it's  prime and gone moldy.  Yuck.  So canned was the way to go.  I also went to a store called Planet Organic (or maybe it was Planet Organica?...I can't quite remember).  I got my lunch there.  Organice Thai Cucumber Salad and Organic Curry Mango Salad....plus an organic almond bar. I will go back again definitely for the Curry Mango Salad and probably the Almond Bar as well.  The Thai Cucumber Salad was good but nothing I'd go out of my way to get.  The others were yummylicious! Anyway, after that I headed back to the bus stop and headed for home.  Shortly after getting home my sister came in with my great step-nephew (try to follow that one)....he's so cute.  He'll be 3 in September.  He was asleep when they got here so he was flaked out on the futon here for awhile so my sister and I made peanut butter and jam sandwiches and put them in cool ziploc bags, 1 was Spiderman the other was Mader (or is it Mater?) from Cars and packed them for a picnic lunch.  We were taking him to the coolest playground around....which to my little nephew is known as "Niki's Park". Hehe.  Too cute.  So after awhile we woke him up so we could go and he had a ball.  If you're ever in Halifax, NS with kids (or even without) check out Westmount Park...it's a great place for all ages and has some neat history attached to it.  It's location used to be an airport (possibly first in this area) over 75 years ago.  It's now a school, a playground, a little water park, tennis court, soccer field not to mention one of the cutest subdivisions in the city.  I seriously want to live in that neighborhood but for now at least I can walk around it and explore.  :) Anyway...so much for the quick check in.  Too many good things happened today to just write a quick one.  But I ended up being so tired when I got back from all the activity I crashed on the couch for a few hours.  Still though I think I'm tired enough to go to bed so I'm heading there shortly.
