Thanks for all the birthday wishes!   Been a very busy but great day! Was up at 9:30am and got started with my day...though did kind of laze around this morning and just hung out with my roommate who just got back last night from being away 3 weeks house sitting.  She brought me a birthday snack from Cinnabon....yummy! Got myself ready afterwards to get my license renewal done.  Had no choice as I didn't get it done earlier when I had been planning to and it expired today.  It ended up being a lot busier there then I thought it would be...so not only did I have to pay $70 to get the renewal done and a wonderful little picture, I also had to wait 1.5-2 hours!  Crazy!  I figure if they are going to be that busy they should be offering complimentary beverages and cookies or something...means some of us are spending a good chunk of our birthdays waiting for our number to be called.  Anyhow...that's my only real rant for today. Had to run to the store quickly afterwards to try to find a birthday present for Faith, the little girl I know who's birthday is tomorrow.  Got that but spent more then was planning.  *shrugs*  I didn't have enough time to look around to find something really in my range and I knew this would be something she would love.  It actually didn't have a price tag on it so I had to get them to do a price check and while I was waiting decided if it was within a certain range I would get it.  It was at the absolute top of the range...so I spent an extra $10 but she's worth it and I really didn't have time to debate it. Ran to the grocery store and picked up something to drink...was way too thirsty at this point and my throat was so dry that I was having trouble swallowing so I figured no point suffering.  Then called my parents and they were close enough they could pick me up so it saved me having to run (oh okay...walk) home. Got home and guests were already starting to show up and hour early.  So it became very rushed and I never did end up making the chocolate chip cookies....but...we had more then enough munchies afterward so it worked out. I had a few good friends show up and my parents, both sisters, one of my brother-in-laws, and my step niece and her son so it was great!  Had wine, had champaigne (champaigne birthday since I'm the same age as my birthdate...27 on March 27), had lots of munchies, had DQ ice cream cake...and I think we have enough food and wine left over for another party.  LOL. Anyhow, I'm wiped and have another busy day tomorrow...if I can get out of bed after all this partying.  LOL  I'm so exhausted.
