My doctors appointment went well...but now I have a lot of bloodwork and different tests to get done...on Monday I have to make an appointment at another medical centre to have an EKG done. Also if I am up for it on Monday I need to start the bloodwork. There's one test that requires me to be there at both 8am and again at 4pm, and another that requires me to sit still there for 15 min before the bloodwork is done. Also, something I've been avoiding for a long time is doing a 24 hour urine collection to look for something called metanephrines. Time to face it and actually do it. So when I get the bloodwork done I have to pick up the correct container. I did try one time in the past but was told I used the wrong collection container. Urrggghhh...what a pain. Anyway, she really helped ease my mind though...this morning I was having a really hard time and she fit me in at the end of the day (on a Friday, no less) and took time to go through everything...I actually had given her a copy of my journal (had all my thoughts/concerns in it) and she wanted to read it (all 2 pages) and go through all of it. So thankful she was able to do that. Normally she doesn't. And I have to see her again on Tuesday. I hate all the appointments and feeling like my body is like 80 at times....but it's a relief when the doctor actually seems to care and want to get things figured out....so I do feel better. And more relaxed about my heart rate. Before I had the appointment with her I contemplated going to the ER to at the very least ease my mind...but she did so much more then they would've probably done. I've been there before with my heart rate being elevated, this isn't a new thing...and they never are able to find anything and tell me to keep an eye on it and see my doctor. So, that's what I did this time. Anyway...in typical "body feeling old" style...I got home and barely made it through supper when I ended up falling asleep for most of the evening. Going out sure wiped me out. *sigh* At least I do feel a tiny bit better....enough to upgrade the mood face. Still taking a break from officially updating the self harm goal. I don't want that on the top of my mind everytime I come here right now.
