Just checking in before bed. I'm at my parents house now and we're in the middle of a snowstorm (or at least that's what is forecast) and I love it! I love snow...not cold...but snow. :) I had my medical appointment. Mostly I got everything covered I wanted to. The main thing was a replacement medication for the ventolin so they changed that...I forget right now what it is. Oh shoot...it's gonna bug me...just a second, let me figure it out. Atrovent. She also wants me to get in the habit of taking Flovent again on a regular basis. Grrr. I hate it but I think I will cooperate at least for the winter since that's when I get most of my asthma symptoms. I didn't even bother to mention the nasal spray issues today. I knew what her response would be...so I will continue with that for awhile. Besides I do know it does help with the allergies. Blech. Also, i got my flu shot and a referral for physiotherapy which is good but she wants me to come back to see her before I get too into the physio to do a more thorough examination of my neck and back. So I will go back in a few weeks. I don't really have time to start the physio for a couple weeks anyway so will probably get maybe one session before I see her again. Anyway...it was a doctors appointment. What more can I say. After that I went to the grocery store/pharmacy and Friday at supper time when they are predicting a huge snowstorm for overnight is NOT a good time to be at a grocery store (this is the busiest grocery store in the city on a regular day). It was insane. I had to wait awhile for them to get my prescriptions ready so I walked around trying to stay out of everyones way. Also waited for mom to show up since that is were we were meeting. So needless to say we were there for awhile and I think more time was spent in line then shopping. On the plus side I ran into a girl I used to work with at the hospital. She was one of my favorite to work with...she is such a sweetie...and I met her daughter who is now 2 and a half years old..she was born right around the time I went off work. She is too cute. Anyhow...that was fun. Oh...and so was picking up everything at the pharmacy...wow...I felt like I was cleaning them out of stock. :O Don't like that feeling. Atrovent and Flovent, Manerix, Clonazepam, and Valtrex that I use for cold sores (freaken horse pills). And I should've also gotten more Avamys and Oxazepam but well...I didn't have anymore money and figure I have enough of each to last until I get paid. I hate all the meds...but I'll deal. I'm at my parents house now...did I mention that already...and should be asleep (will hopefully be soon) since it's 1:30am. I noticed today one of the veins in my right forearm is popped out and hard and sore all along the forearm...basically from one IV site in the wrist to the site in my elbow is sore and just 2-3 inches is raised and hard. Not warm or red though (which is great). Did a little research and think I figured out what it is so I will follow the suggestions mentioned (ibuprofen for pain if needed) and warm compresses. Should've mentioned it to the doctor but didn't think of it...so will keep an eye on it. I'm pretty sure that's what they'd recommend anyway at this point. Took my benedryl tonight for allergies (wowsers I think I'm more allergic to my dear kitties Chloe and Mandie then I used to be) and will start new meds tomorrow. Trying the sleep thing without the oxazepam tonight and going on just benedryl. Tomorrow is a day of laundry and rest so I can through a load in and go back to bed if I need to. That said...I'm off to bed. This check in has gotten way too long.
