Wow, okay, I haven't meant to be away so long. It's just that this moving stuff...even after you're moved...keeps you so busy. I have boxes to unpack and items needing to be bought for the apartment. Like today I need to run to the mall to get a curtain rod. I have curtains but they aren't much good without a rod to hang them on. My parents birthdays are also this week. My dad's was yesterday and my mom's is tomorrow so I have been busier then usual with them but that is okay...I enjoy getting to spend time with my family. Tuesday I was so tired and sore but I was asked if I could babysit so I did that....here...at my place....which was interesting to say the least. We have stuff everywhere and the girl that lived here before still had stuff here...and this kiddo, 2 years old...wanted to get into it all. And she didn't really want to listen at first either. But after I bit I decided to give her a time out..I know her parents do that and it helped amazingly. It helped that she knows what a time out is and she stayed right were I sat her down for her time out until I told her she could get up again. Anyway after the first time out things went so much better and we had a great time. She had one more time out later on for screaming after being told a few times not to because it was late. Didn't want to annoy people in the building here too much. Wednesday...my parents came into visit and then we went to the mall for supper and then I had to take my key back to my old roommate/landlord and then we went back to the mall. I actually bought nothing...unless you count the fruit smoothy. Thursday (yesterday) was my dad's birthday so I met up with them at a Tim Horton's for a birthday coffee (I had an ice cappiccino) and then we went to one store and then to supper. Oh my it was yummy. It was a place that has all day breakfasts and I have been craving a "real" breakfast....bacon, eggs, sausages, hashbrowns, and toast....and orange juice. It all came with the meal and it hit the spot totally so now I can get that outta my head for a bit. I don't even like those kinds of meals often but once in awhile I just crave it and it totally was worth it. Then went to my sisters to see her new camping trailor and visit the animals (dogs/cats). I loved that, of course, but my allergies don't. I was breaking out in hives and soooo itchy. Then went to my parents for a bit to see if I still had a can opener packed away there....couldn't find it but found some other things that I wanted to bring back so filled up a box. Now...to unpack that...hehe. I need to do a bunch of dishes in the kitchen and add some of the ones I brought back to the pile. Boy oh boy there is so much to do. Anyway, then mom and I stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few things...of course ended up with more then a few things but doesn't that always happen? I did buy a can opener though. Just a manual one for now. Eventually I may get an electric one again but this is better then nothing. I can have a tuna sandwhich again. Hehe. Today I am planning to go pick up the curtain rod at the mall...but I think I will wait until closer to supper time. My tummy is feeling a bit icky today...probably the greasy breakfasty supper I had last night. I will eat some salad shortly which will at least help in the longer term. Might upset it more temporarily but will help me feel better at some point. I finally got MY keys to this apartment so I won't have to borrow my friends anymore. We will each have our own to come and go as we please. And yay....I can check the mail now! Such a small thing but I never had a mail key at my old place...I always had to wait for my old roommate to pick it up. This is so much nicer...plus it's inside the building. Hehe...I can get it any time of day in any weather. Woohoo!!! :D Well, I am doing well. Starting to sleep better again which is good. It's just a bit of an adjustment being in a new place and being literally right on the traffic...not the busiest intersection in the city but definitely one of them. There is a bus stop almost right below our apartment and also lots of big beer and pop trucks go by...plus we're directly across from a busy gas station as well. But it's kind of fun....I love looking out the window and watching all the traffic. I want to start taking pictures of the big trucks. hehe. Not hard to do since they often get stuck at a red light. Oh...just looked out and it's raining. Guess that means I will get to wear my funky cool rainboots today! :D Well, i should go get my salad. I'm trying to catch up on all your entries now but may take me a day or two. ***HUGS*** Take care.
