Another one that really spoke to me.  Risky Business READ: Matthew 8:23-27 He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. —Matthew 8:26 Denis Boyles knew it would be challenging to interview a man on a roller coaster—especially when the interview took place during an attempt to set a world’s record for continuous riding. After several times around the track, Denis was so overcome with fear he could hardly talk. Then the man showed him how to use his body and feet to lean into the loops, twists, and turns. Writing in AARP Magazine, Boyles explained how that took away the terror. It also taught him a lesson about risk and fear. The roller coaster felt risky though it was quite safe. But driving his car to the amusement park posed a far greater risk of injury. Risk and fear are easily confused. As Jesus and His disciples crossed the Sea of Galilee, a storm came up and waves swept over their boat. Incredibly, Jesus was asleep. The disciples woke Him and said, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” (Matt. 8:25). In a gentle rebuke, Jesus asked, “‘Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?’ Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm” (v.26).Like the disciples, the more we learn about Jesus, the more we trust Him. Our greatest risk is failing to depend on Him when life seems out of control.  — David C. McCasland But we see Jesus! Oh, what peace! What balm for troubled heart! His very name brings rest and calmAnd bids the fears depart! —Adams Keep your eyes on Jesus and you’ll soon lose sight of your fears.  ~~~ I had a great day today. Although I'm totally exhuasted.  I met up with my friend and her daughter.  We found two caches before she had to have her appointment.  Then when she had her appointment I was babysitting her daughter.  Such a cutie, but being a typical independent 2 year old kept me busy and when she didn't listen caused her to have a small tantrum.  Nothing major.  We just sort of hung around the place, went upstairs to Tim Horton's and had "timbits" (donut holes) and I let her color for a bit. Then afterward I decided to do a trial of her out of the stroller for a bit because I always feel bad that we keep her in the stroller for so long.  So, knowing full well a two year olds attention span I got on her level, had her look me in the eyes and I told her if she was good, stayed near me and the stroller, and if she listened then she didn't need to go in the stroller.  She did excellent for about 2 minutes which was all I expected really.  Then something caught her attention (we were outside near a parking lot at this point) and she decided to run way ahead and hide (I saw were she went) but after telling her to stop and her continuing to run and then her "hiding" I caught up to her and put her in the stroller and got down again on her level and told her with her looking at me why she was back in the stroller.  Normally she would have a complete meltdown at this point but she only fussed a little so I knew she understood.  So she was in the stroller again and did pretty good.  There were birds around and that helped because I'd get down on her level, point up at the birds and say "see the bird" and she loved that.   Her mom finished up in her appt soon after and her daddy was meeting up with us too so we all sort of met up and then went to a couple stores to do some errands.  I went to pick up my prescription and did cash back and then went on my way doing the rest of the errands I had to do.  Got to the check out paid for what I was getting and only saw a $5 not clueing in at the time that there should also be two $20's.  I know they were handed to me when I did that cash back.  I remember seeing them and having them in my hand.  Anyway, I still hadn't clued in at that point because I figured I probably stuck them in my pocket.  Got to another store and reached in my pocket to pay for them and that's when I was like hey...uh...wait a second...where'd my money go.  Dug through my purse, checked all pockets, no sign.  My friends were nice and payed for my stuff and we did the rest of the errands we needed.  Still didn't find it.  I don't know what I did with it.  Called the store both the pharmacy and customer service and no signs of it....so I guess I probably lost $40.  :(  But you know the thought that came into my head....was the Lord giveth and the Lord can taketh away.  And I'm like...how true is that...I let my head get so big yesterday after giving my tithe, then recieving money and feeling like wow, I'm getting more money then I even tithed and kind of got a bit of an attitude yesterday....and then today it's gone.  I'm thinking He's teaching me a lesson.  He wants me to that yes He provides, but if I'm not obedient and if I get too thinking to much (hey, if I keep tithing that I"m always going to get extra money attitude going) that it's just as easy for Him to take it away again.   So anyway, yeah, I'm home now.  I'm exhausted and minus $40 plus what I spent but I'm not going to stress over things.  What's the point.  This happened during a month that I have a bit of breathing room with money and I know He's not going to let me go without necessities so why stress.  It's not gonna make the money miraculously appear, and it's not going to make me feel good to stress over it.  I just hope that if indeed I did drop the money somewhere that whoever found it was someone that really needed it.  My thought is being that the pharmacy is right next to a walk-in medical clinic...and it right about by the door of the clinic that I would've dropped it while putting it in my pocket.  Maybe somewhere there has a kid with an earache and they need a prescription but had no money.  Something like that.  Of course I will likely never know....but it's thinking thoughts like that that helps me to helps me be able to not feel bad about it.  And really when you think of it...it's only $40.  Yes that's a lot, but it's a small amount when you really think about it. Alright this is getting long enough.  That's my thoughts for today.  The good, the bad, and the ugly.  lol.
