Wow, busy day I've had today. I had energy for a change and I wasn't about to sit around letting it go to waste...plus I had stuff that had to be done today anyway. I did sleep in a bit today (11:09am) but that's because I was late taking the sleeping meds last night. I was a bit groggy but fought it off pretty quickly. Turned on the computer, used the washroom, got breakfast ready and brought it back to the computer. Confirmed that I had someone stopping by to pick up something I was selling and they were coming between 11:30am and noon. Barely finished breakfast and got the call they were on their way. Hopped into some clothes just in time for the doorbell to ring. Awesome, easy $20. Finished getting ready and grabbed the library books and headed out the door. Caught a bus, went to the library downtown, walked back up to the mall, met up with a friend. Stopped for coffee, then walked with her to the drugstore and then back to her place for about 10 minutes. Then she had to go to the library so we walked back down there and then she had to head to work so we got on a bus and I took it part way because I needed to go to the other mall to take care of some insurance stuff. Did that...found out I've gone over my limit for chiropractor...bummer. *sigh* Got back what I could then went to the bank to cash that cheque and another one I had. Put money on the credit cards, took out my rent money for next month, walked to the other bank, deposited rent money, then walked back to the original mall. Looked around. Decided that I needed to buy rain boots and the mission began. LOL. Looked around the mall and a bunch of stores downtown for rain boots. No luck. So decided to hop on another bus to head to the mall and shops closer to where I live. Bus was super crowded but decided to take it anyway. It was packed, had to stand for half the ride...which I hate doing because I always feel like I'm going to fall on someone's lap. Ah well. I managed to stay upright but it was rather crowded. Got to my destination...and by the way, it was rainy and icky today. Walked from the bus stop a long way across a parking lot to continue the rain boot search. Found a pair that were okay, nothing special and tried them on. They didn't have a price on them but the other ones around them said $50 so I figured they were the same. Nope...they were $70 and they were just plain boring rain boots. So the search continued. I tried Winners, Walmart, and another store which are all across the parking lots (not in the mall) and had no luck. They were all ugly or not what I was looking for, or not comfortable. So off to the mall I went. I circled the bottom level not really coming up with any good options. Went upstairs and circled it as well. Found a pair I liked but they were $59...slightly more then I was wanting to pay so I put them on hold while I finished looking and then sat down and munched on some dried apricots I had with me. Hmmm....what to do. I figured I had been to practically ever store in the city so I ended up deciding that since I"ve needed rain boots for a couple years now that I might as well spend the money. I used some of my birthday money so I really didn't go over my limit in the end anyway. They're pretty funky. They're green, blue, brown, orange, and maybe another color or two in there as well. They're kind of a paisly print...but not. I love them. Mission complete. Onto the next phase. I decided that since I had to stop at the drug store near me, which has a postal outlet, that I would walk the 10-15 minutes instead of take the bus. I got to the postal outlet...because I had a package that needed to be picked up and then discovered that it wasn't at that postal outlet afterall but one that's further away in another part of the city so I said forget it, I'm tired, I'm going home. I'll go get it tomorrow. *sigh*. I was going straight from about 12 noon until about 6:30pm...walking almost the whole time. No wonder my ankles and legs are in pain now. Hehe. Now I'm probably going to be exhausted for the next week but it was fun for a change. Tomorrow is the eye doctor and then off to the other end of the city to pick up a package. Yay!
