I was talking to my sister earlier this evening. She said my BIL is still the same...normal at times and then confused others. She said a nurse and on-call doctor have both talked to her on the phone today and I think the nurse will call again tomorrow to check on things. That makes her feel a little more at ease...just that extra bit of support. They also increased the warfarin a little bit. The explanation to my understanding is that before surgery his heart was pumping sluggishly so not all the blood was going through his body as well as it should...so now that his heart is working like it's suppose to there's old blood gathered and pieces breaking and causing the mini strokes. As long as they continue moving and don't stay stuck they aren't a problem...but they get a little stuck in the brain at times which causes the confusion. Something along those lines. He goes to the hospital tomorrow for more blood work and then to the dr's office Thursday for removal of the staples so hopefully they will have the results of the bloodwork and more answers by then. That's the update there. Me, I think I might be getting a bug. I hope not. I've been achy all day and have a low grade fever. Not to the point of needing to worry about it but just enough to know to keep an eye on it. My ankles feel like I walked a major marathon with lots of hills...but I didn't. Just short distances yesterday so not sure what that's about. No swelling so that's good. Also, the energy has been crap today. Standing uprate was a chore. I made sure to refill my water a couple times and get something to eat but other then that between the lack of energy and sore ankles I didn't spend a lot of time standing. Mostly just sitting or laying and on the computer or watching tv...or both. Thinking I might actually sleep soon. It's 1am so that would be an improvement over last night. Not sure if I should try the oxazepam...it is a little late to give that a go but it might help me wake up better so I can see my aunt....or I guess it could make getting up even harder too...lol. 50/50. *hmmm*
