I had a reaction to all the loxapine in my system.  My jaw started spasming, then my tongue started doing it's own weird thing (i swear it was trying to rip out of my throat)...then it moved through my body making it hard to breath.  Well, I called 911 when it just the jaw spasms because they hurt so damn bad and I knew I wasn't going anywhere by public transit.  By the time the paramedics arrived my tongue was doing its thing...and by the time I was at the hospital on a stretcher it started to affect my breathing.  Scary.  They gave me some meds to counteract the loxapine and some pain killers for the severe pain.  Pain so bad that my body was attempting to throw up...but there wasn't anything in it.  It was awful.  I couldn't talk, I was so scared.  I'm never doing that again.  Anyway, while all this was happening my psychiatrist and I were playing phone tag so the final message I left for her while I could barely talk told her I was at the ER.  So she called psych there and wanted them to admit me...so yesterday I was admitted to the psych ward.  I'm out on a pass right now.  I will spend one more night and then probably be discharged tomorrow.  Hopefully this is the start of an upswing...non-drinking upswing.  They are trying to convince me to talk to someone about my drinking...even though we all agree I'm not addicted to it.  Just that I keep abusing it.  Oh yeah, one other thing, I had an appointment with my family doctor and she's sending me to a geneticist because there is still problems with my chromosomes.  Yippee...more appointments. Anyway, got to go.  I'm doing a bit better now.
