Oh my I've had quite a day. I woke up early (before 7am) but stayed in bed quite a long time trying to force myself back to sleep. Phone rang at 9 something and woke me up. Was on the computer quite awhile afterwards but not outta bed. Realized shortly after 12 noon that I still needed to have a shower and eat before a 1pm appointment so rushed my little tail feathers off getting ready. Went to leave at exactly 1pm (late) and realized that it was really snowing. Called my therapist to say I was on my way and that with the snow it might take me a few extra minutes. Got there in about 8 minutes totally white but in one piece. Had my appointment which went well. We kept it pretty low key because it's the last appointment of the year and I am doing mostly good and because things have been too chaotic to worry about doing my homework. It's burried anyway somewhere beneath all the Christmas stuff. Went to Tim's for a coffee while waiting for my next appointment with my family doctor. That went well...I remembered everything I needed to tell her. I had a liquid nitro treatment on my stupid stubborn plantars wart (my toe is ouchie now) and then asked about cancelling the current referal to an eye doctor because I want to go to the one I saw recently not another new one like my doctor suggested and that's fine, got her to add more blood work to my current list to check WBC's, she checked my ear and it was fine and then she noticed my cold sore on my lip. Evilness. She said that she thought it would be a good idea to take Valtrex for it and have some on hand if I ever get another outbreak. She said because of my immune system this would help get rid of it quicker and not wear down my immune system so much. So off to the pharmacy I went...which is at the grocery store later. Give them my script and have to wait 15+ minutes so I go looking around and of course spend money. I called my friends to see if I couild bring anything...and they suggested desserts so I loaded up on different desserts. It's such a challenge finding stuff that's nut free. So I bought all different things and hoped for the best. Got back to the pharmacy and saw the size of the Valrex....holy hannah horsepills! Yikes. Decided to wait until I got home to take them. Had to go to the hopsital first for bloodwork and made them work for their paycheck. They never did figure out exactly how the test was suppose to be ordered. Something to check chromosomes...after awhile of waiting (20+ min) and watching them scratch their brains and calling everyone they could think of I told them to give it their best guess and if it was a problem my doctor could reorder it and I'll come back and challenge them again another day. So they took all kinds of extra blood to be on the safe side and are hoping for the best. I thought it was kind of amusing actually. I'm lucky the bloodwork doesn't bother me at all. So chatted and joked around with the lab tech and then went on my way to catch the bus to go to my friends house for supper. Got there completely covered in snow but had a wonderful time and a wonderful supper. We had roasted chicken and taters and then lots and lots of desserts. Afterwards we watched The Santa Clause and I cuddled with their little girl for a bit. She's 20 months old and crawled up on my lap. Then I had 2 of their 3 cats on me for a bit as well. After the movie the little girl went to bed and then my friends and I played Scategories and had a blast. Still pigging out on sugary sweets of course. Finally near midnight I decided I didn't want to bother busing home so called a cab. I was just too tired...but I think my cab driver was smoking pot just before I got in the car. It recked and I know I shouldn't have gotten in but I was too tired and just wanted to get home so I chanced it. I didn't have far to go and it was late so I just watched the roads closely and it all went well. I was going to call and complain to the company but realized I didn't have a name or cab # to report and so I didn't bother. I made it home and had to face those horsepills. I poured myself a big glass of chocolate milk (easier to take huge pills with) and called my mom and made her stay on the phone in case I chocked on them. I thought she might have to call 911 they're so big. I swear those companies are trying to lose business by killing their customers by making pills so big people will choke to death. I don't think that's a very wise business deal. Anyhow, I positioned the pills just right, held my tongue just the right way, and got just the right amount of chocolate milk in my mouth and swallowed and it wasn't a problem at all, then had to repeat it again to take a second pill. Phew, what a relief. Now I hope it goes that well at noon when I take the next doses. Oh my oh my I am not a fan of those but at least so far so good. So now I'm bouncing off the walls from all the sugar and the chocolate and wondering if I should take a sleeping pill to counteract this all so I get some sleep tonight. I have to go see Alvin and the Chipmunks tomorrow. Wowie, I just realized how crazy long this is so I am going to finish it up.
