Oh my goodness that was dangerous. I finally managed to get to the post office but that was enough to convince me that today is not a good day to go downtown. The sidewalks are shear ice in 95% of the spots and then there were 2 places where it was only a thin layer of ice over ankle deep puddles. *sigh* Remind me why I love winter?! The wind was blowing me, every second step you'd go sliding, my eyes were watering, my nose was running, and it took double the amount of time to get anywhere by foot. Crazy, but somehow I managed to get there and back in one piece and not land on my rear. LOL. Anyhow, I did get that accomplished at least. That's one thing I can mark off my list. Tomorrow I will have to do A LOT of shopping so hopefully it'll be a little easier to get around.
