Feeling good but literally exhausted.   Went to my parents yesterday for the night and to the funeral today.  It was a large service and it was so well done.  He was loved so much by so many in the community and touched so many lives.  It was definitely emotional but I held up fine for the most part.  I am just thankful that I knew him.  He was such a wonderful man.  An odd thought that I had today...especially since he wasn't a church goer himself...was that it's interesting how it took his death to get my nephews and sister and brother-in-law to step foot in a church again.  I invite my sister and nephews (even though I don't attend regularly either) to come along so this was a mixed blessing that way.Went to my sisters afterwards and had a game of pool with my youngest nephew.  Also, just visited with family.  Then back to my parents to pick up my stuff and have a short rest and then had to bring my stuff home, pick up my stuff for the Alpha group and off to group I went.Alpha was good...but I wish I was more awake.  I am going to have to watch that video again because I was sort of doozing off during it.  Opps.  I think it is an important one to watch though because it talks about resisting evil and boy oh boy do I ever need to figure out how to do that...at least a little better.  One thing I remember in particular that I found helpful was that temptation itself is not a sin...even Jesus was tempted.  It's giving in to those temptations that's the sin...and how the devil really lies and tells you that you need to give in to get rid of the temptation...and really that just makes it worse.  Specifically I think of my struggles lately with cutting and other self-harm behaviors...but that can be applied to so many different areas.  It's not a bad thing that we are tempted...EVEN JESUS WAS TEMPTED!  Kitties are doing good.  Played with them briefly but I am so tired had to come inside.  I wish I had the finances and ability to keep them but unfortuanetly I don't.  I'm still trying to find homes for them but that isn't going so well.  I know I'm not alone in that though.  They're being looked after pretty good by the people in the building here....just no one is able to bring them into their homes.

I\'d be exhausted both physically and emotionally after the highs and lows of the last few days ..give your self some recuperation time now to let the word of God take root in your heart.
Love and prayers,
Nan
