Back from the ER...boy oh boy what a time. I took the bus down to the ER...walked up to triage...started telling her everything and when she took my pulse it was 250 beats per minute. Crazy! They rushed me into the back, started hooking me up to everything, and were getting the stupid crash cart ready but then it lowered itself back to normal and they really didn't need to do anything. Praise God! It was still slightly high but not dangerously so they did xrays, bloodwork, and a CT Scan and everything turned out fine...other then my usual standing problems with the bloodwork. WBC count is 2.2 (normal is 6 or 7 I think). Neutrophils are .9 which means 900 so moderate neutropenia. But I already knew that. D-dimer, whatever that is, came back positive which is why they did the CT Scan to make sure that there wasn't a blood clot. Anyway, things stayed fine and stable and everything came back fine so I'm back home. Feeling better then when I left except for a mild headache. And orders to return if there's any further problems and not by bus. They said with my heart rate that high, it can only tolerate it for so long and then I could've dropped dead. Creepy scary. I'm just eating my supper now and then I'm going to get ready for bed. I'm worn out from that...though after I eat I might check back in if I perk up at all. Just glad nothing serious was found and that I didn't have to stay. And that it all came back to normal on it's own. That was truly scary with the whole crash cart and them talking about the defibrilators and I know from working in the other ER that when heart rate is fast like that they sometimes shock you to get your heart normal again. So thankful that didn't have to happen. God is good!
