Wow, I'm beat.  Yesterday was Canada Day and I've been on the go.  It definitely hasn't been a typical 24 hours for me.  I went to my sisters yesterday for a family get-together and a BBQ.  We had bocce ball tournaments and good food.  I actually participated....not something I have done in years.  I'm usually too self consious and lazy.  Then I went to a friends (my previous roommates) apartment to watch the Canada Day Fireworks.  From where he lives we had the perfect view...and since I'm short it was great because I wasn't stuck standing behind some tall person.  My friend, one of his roommates, and I were drinking and lighting sparklers and taking pictures and playing with his kitten Mystique....then after the fireworks we ordered pizza and watched movies.  We were up until like 4-5 am just hanging out.  I crashed on the couch, only slept like 4 hours but at least I didn't wake up with a hangover or anything.  I drank a bunch of water before crashing and a bunch more when I woke up.  Watched another movie, hung out some more...ate pizza for breakfast.  Played with the cat some more....my hands and arms are full of little tiny scratches from her.  I don't think the cat likes me...lol.  It was funny though.  I actually felt someone what like my age for a change and somewhat normal...despite the fact it was only the 3 of us.  (I don't do parties)  I feel like I missed out on a lot of that part of my life because of my mental health and the issues I've been struggling with for most of my life.  So it was nice to have a break from all that.  The only reminder of that part of my life was because I can see the scars on my arms (especially upper arms) so clearly.
