I think I forgot to add that the antiphospholipid antibody test was negative. I'm not completely sure, but I believe that was my last, best hope that it was something other than MS. My neuro never talks to me, so I don't know for sure. I saw my PCP Monday, and he agreed to refer me back to the MS specialist at OHSU since she was more help in one hour than my current neuro has been in the past year. I know he did the tests, but he never LISTENED to me. He even said in his chart note that my symptom list was a "litany". Litany is a lengthy recitation or enumeration. Well of course it is long! I have been keeping that list and adding to it since 1995. READ IT! Idiot! Okay....I feel better now. lol Off to rest. ~J

Good for you for keeping a \"litany\" of symptoms. That\'s the only way to be accurate, right? I\'ve had a similar experience with a male doctor, when I had MS symptoms, & was going through the just beginning of what you must have experienced of tests. He did a few tests to see how my hands & feet responded to his pushing on them, etc.-those types of things, in his office - about 1/2 hour. Then he sent me for a cat scan. Called me back & said, I see nothing on you cat scan, so you don\'t have ms, & sent me away. Or tried to. I was so angry. I knew, from what I\'d read, that a cat scan wasn\'t enough to diagnose. Did I ever tell him off. Then I went back to my family doctor & told him what happened. (Meanwile I\'m keeping my Litany of symptoms). My doctor sent me to a new & better qualified doctor, who I liked right off. He did the same basic tests, said he didn\'t think I had ms, but if I get any worse when I get home, call him right away. He was very respectful.He looked at my notes & appreciated my thoroughness. Within a few days, I couldn\'t walk. And, I tried. So I called, & he had me admitted to one of the best hospitals in the area. He ran all the main tests - mri, spinal tap, eeg, I think more, but those main ones, & they all came back negative. When all was said & done, they discovered I didn\'t have MS, it was a manic attack from my bipolar (I didn\'t even know I was bipolar yet, let alone it could do this). But, I\'ll always remember that kind respectful doctor.
You do what you know you need to do, & try to get rid of that jerk if that\'s one of them.

That neuro\'s neurotic!!!narcissistic,& should be in research instead of seeing patients.Sad you had such a bad experience w/him,but good that you found a competent dr @ OHSU.Hope you had a good rest .Hugs 7 God bless :)
