Well, it looks like my neuro isn't done with me yet. Now he has ordered a deprived sleep study test. ARGH!
He says he is very sure, based on my symptoms and past medical history, that I have MS, but at this stage he is labeling it "probable MS." He says he has pretty much ruled out everything else, so I do not know what more he is looking for. Is he just being careful? I am hoping to get the study done this month so he will have the results when I see him on January 3rd. I sure hope I can get on treatment soon. Yesterday I wasn't able to get my fingers to do what I wanted them to, so I had to put off my transcription until today, which in turn made me have to call my other job and let them know that I would have to come in Friday (I work at an office on Mondays and Wednesdays and do my transcription at home on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and over the weekend. I have already had to give up my Friday transcripton to a fellow MT because I couldn't keep up... I hope they don't start seeing me as unreliable. So far they seem very understanding, but I still worry that they might start seeing me as a liablity. I am, after all, getting paid to do a job, not call in every few days and tell them I would be able to work that day...
Any idea what a sleep study will show? Sleep apnea perhaps?
On a lighter note, my son is going to the Regional Spelling Bee AGAIN!!! YAY!!! I'm sooooo proud of him! It is based on grades and a spell off. He came in first in his class and has 100% on all of his spelling tests!!!
Be well, my friends. ~Jlynn

It sounds like your dr is very thorough,& that\'s a good thing:).Waiting, however,is hard.I wish you a speedy diagnosis, and good treatment.Having to miss work can be stressful, but you must take care of yourself & not try to work if it\'s going to be harmful.I will pray that you find relief from the pain & numbness. What a blessing your son is,& how smart!!!He\'s a shining star in your world,I know.
Hi Jlynn, It\'s good to hear from you again. Sorry you have to have another test & wait again. It sounds like the study is to do with sleep apnea, but it could be something we don\'t know about. I hope you are able to get the test & results done soon, so you can finally have a clear diagnosis & start getting treatment. I never knew it was so hard to get an ms diagnosis. Maybe each case is different. I\'m praying for you that you\'ll have the strength to wait as long as necessary (hopefully not much longer), get a final answer soon & start being treated for it soon. My love & thoughts are with you.
