I haven't written lately because my hands aren't working right, and I need to try to preserve what I can for my job. I have a question for those who have experience with this, though. Does the function come and go, or does it get progressively worse? My hands rarely hurt anymore, but now they just ... stop working. It's like my brain has been put on mute and my hands aren't getting the messages. It's not even numbness at this point, although I get that a lot, too. Can medication help?? I am a transcriptionist, and I am getting very scared that this is it for me. My neuro has decided to send me to the Multiple Sclerosis Center for Oregon at OHSU. I see them on Monday. However, they are starting from groud zero with me, and I can't just fake it at my job until then. Any advice? Is this a progression of MS? Are the lesions on my brain inhibiting the messages my brain is trying to send to my hands? Please help me. I'm scared...

This stupid disease has no definitive patterns. Aside from losing the vision in my right eye, everything has come back for me. That being said no two cases are alike. Hang in there. I also work. I try to manage sleeping, resting, adn taking care of myself, so that I will be able to work.
My right hand would not work for me once but that is all. I just have the numbness and pain but not real bad. I wish I could have some answers for you because I know how concerned you must be. It effects your job. It might be a flar up your having. When my hand didn\'t work it did not last very long, only one day.
