Lumbar was negative.  Neuro still thinks I have MS.  He wants to send me to a larger nearby city for some vision and hearing tests.  I told his nurse I would only agree to this if he would also refer me to OHSU, which is one of the best teaching hospitals in the Northeast, to one of the three infectious disease specialists.  I am still not convinced it is not Lyme.  I've had TWO positive Western blots for crying out loud!  He agreed.  I won't get into more of what happened today because I am too upset, but just to summarize, they called last night at 5 p.m. and told me the MS panel was negative, which led me to believe I didn't have MS.  This morning I called to ask if I could get the infectious disease referral, only to be informed that my neuro STILL thinks I have MS!  I had a severe anxiety attack, complete with out-of-control coughing, which probably ripped some stitches from my recent surgery.  i also have high blood pressure, and my BP was 190/110.  When I called them back to find out what the doc said, they told me he had agrreed to my terms.  Wish me luck that I get this worked out soon!  If they keep putting me through this I am going to have a stroke, and then it won't matter what the diagnosis is!  That's all i can write for now.  I am exhausted from this roller coaster ride.  Take care everyone.  ~Jlynn

I\'m so sorry you\'re still getting the run-around. It makes no sense that you keep getting difference diagnoses. I know it\'s terribly hard on you, but I hope you can find a way take it easy, knowing that you will now be seeing the specialists you want, & should be finally getting your answers. Slow, deep breaths, when you\'re panicky, should help. I\'ll be praying for you to find a calmness in the midst of all this.
Love, Debi

Sorry if it sounded like I was giving you pat answers yesterday. I do hope & pray that these new doctors will have the answers for you, but after all you\'ve been through, you probably don\'t feel like you can \"know\" you\'ll finally be getting answers this time. I imagine that you must have a hard time trusting any doctor these days. I do believe that one day soon, you will finally have your answer, though. Keep hanging in there, & you will finally know the truth. I hope you\'re feeling better today.
Love, your friend,
Debi
