So I do have MS. I will be seeing a neurologist in August. The MRI confirmed "mutiple lesions on the brain." Apparently the positive Lyme test was misleading. I got a second positive test this time, and the specialist said it still said I had "acute LD." SHe said that was impossible after nearly four years and consulted with an infectious disease doc. So now it appears I have had the MS for years, dating back to before my 1995 diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica. She is starting me on a prescription vitamin D supplement and my PCP is going to prescribe Effexor for the anxiety that seems to be constant these days. That's it for now. I promised my son I would spend the evening with him. I'll update more later. ~Jlynn

remember..God holds you in the palm of His hand.
Thank you so much. Littlewing, my mom tells me that often. In fact, she recently bought me a statue of God\'s hands with an angel sitting in them blowing kisses. I told her it reminds me of my son (I call him my very own baby angel). He likes to blow kisses to me whenever he is going somewhere. ~Jlynn
jlynn, I\'m glad you finally got your results & they can start knowing how to properly treat you. I\'m very sorry to hear you have MS though. Does that mean you don\'t have lupus? That would be good. I hope & pray that whatever treatment they use on you works really well & you go into remission. May you feel God\'s peace all around you.

She did rule out lupus, RA, and Lyme disease. She had a huge explanation for why my LD test keeps coming up positive. I guess MS and LD are very close and can create the same bands on a test...or something along those lines. She consulted with an infectious disease specialist to be sure. Thanks again. Off to the PCP to get some anti-depressants so I can at least get my moods under control. Wish me luck! ~JLynn
Sorry to hear that you have MS. I know you were already a member of the site and you suspected. Doesn\'t make it any easier though, trading off one disease for another. Try not to stress too much about your son. I know that\'s easier said than done. My Mom has MS, but I don\'t know of any other family member that has it.
