Last year, I remember seeing a television show about a biomechanical suit that the military is building.  My brother has never been able to walk and I remember thinking how he needs something like that, now I do.  The suit is to allow a soldier to carry hundreds of pounds into battle.  This technology is extremely knew and I am sure that it would not hit the private sector until it is to late for me.  It is like the suit that was worn on the movie, "Aliens", if you remember that movie.

That one was big! Maybe they will come up with a suit more like ironman\'s. But indeed, that is beyond my lifetime too. They do have some pretty cool wheelchairs though. My friend is unable to walk and has been in a wheelchair most of her life. Her current wheelchair can practically stand her up and she gets to be almost eye level with everyone. They\'ll keep. Coming up with things!

My brother had an electric wheelchair that stood him up, but it was very bulky(large) and broke down to often. The Segway designer took that gyroscopic balancer and applied it to a six wheeled wheelchair that could climb stairs and stand on the two center wheels. He wanted to get financialy backeing from Johnson and Johnson, but I have not heard anything about it since and that was about ten years ago.
