I just happen to have an older brother who has Cerebral Palsy.  The experts are not sure why CP happens or how.  One possible cause is lack of oxygen given to the fetus in the womb.  He is 42 now.  He is in a wheel chair and has never been able to walk.  I have always been exposed to the world that many people are afraid of.  I remember once that I was with a friend of mine downtown and we ran into my brother, he told me that he had never reacted correctly around someone like that, but he and I were very different.  He is my brother and always has been.  I do have an understanding about my situation because of this, and I do know many of the places to go and the people to talk to.  My gait is not doing very well, but at least I can still use my legs.  Today was the last day of Physical Therapy, I have learned all that I can from them.  It is a coicidense that one of the places that my brother has to circulate his news letter is at the rehabilitation department at the hospital.  Vern has a newsletter called "Ability News".
