Tonight as we pulled into the carport Jeff's funeral song came on the radio. I sat with my eyes closed, tears rolling down my face and my husband held my hand. I pulled up good memories of Jeff. It was a good night.

I am glad you found peace listening to the song. Because if was his favorite song, my daughter chose \'Free Bird\' to play softly in the background at Chad\'s service. That is a classic, here in the south, and it has played many times on a jukebox when we have been out eating. On a couple of occassions, we had to leave the food sitting there because I broke down so badly. I haven\'t heard it in a while, and would like to think I could handle it now.

Colleen, I\'m glad you were able to remember the good times with Jeff at that moment. I think that\'s progress. Listening to the radio is still so hard sometimes. Like Barbara said, I too hope to be able to handle hearing certain songs a little bit better now. Hugs, Kim

My Sean and I shared music also..he made CD\'s of his favorites and we of ours to share..He learned to dance before he could walk with his feet on mine..Oh that brings back such great warm fuzzies..He was so very smooth on his feet and he was a big tall man..you felt so very protected in his arms..And waltz like an angel...and now is probably waltzing the angels around heavens floor!

Some of the music I can listen to and feel like he has had them played just for me and others bring the rivers of tears..

June was the family reunion and the family is quite musical..My husband had given Sean\'s guitar to his brother (hubs brother) That is the only guitar he has played since Sean\'s death.. What a tribute..The sound was so very sweet

I still cry anytime I hear any of the songs sung at Billy\'s funeral - there are times I can\'t listen to them & other times they bring me comfort...Hugs, Ann

Colleen, I am glad that the song brought you both tears and peace. Isn\'t it odd how we understand how well those go together now? Hugs, Belinda
