I miss Jeff more with each passing day. I don't feel like I can talk about Jeff to many people. When I speak his name I feel like I can see people cringe just a little. Like they would rather I pretended he was never here just so that they din't have to deal with my grief. I feel like the less I talk about him the farther away he gets. I want him near. I want him HERE.

I am convinced that people are so scared of not knowing what to say...so they say nothing. That they will upset us if they mention them. I think they worry that it hurts YOU too much...so believing this make me more compassionate to them. I probably was the same way before Alex died. Time and grief messes with us and makes us feel like we will forget them...I do not believe forgetting them is a possibility. His physical body is further away...but your memories are so close...in your mind and in your heart. Love to you and remember you can always talk about him here. Tell me something about Jeff...what was he like? Love to you...Karen
I would also like to hear about Jeff...Alot of us mothers on this site just talk about our greif and not what our child was like, as a person.....I love to hear about all of our children, it helps me get to know the mother, but most of to get to know the child....We all have the greif in common, but lets start to get to know what made our child special......luv, Pam
I know what you mean.I don\'t carewhat other people think, I will always talk about my precious daughter Randi Lynne. And Pam was right, we have to know what made each of our children, the person they are still to each of us. Wilma
I agree with karen, people are afraid of not knowing the \"right\" thing to say and there is no \"right\" thing. Just listen. You can tell me about Jeff anytime you want, I\'ll listen. Love and hugs Cathy
