Hello allWell we went for our appointment last Thursday to see when our next treatment will start, The protecal for the same treatment at a difference place is slightly different than the one we had private last year, last year I had to start my injection on day 22 of my cycle and then have a bleed followed by a scan and then start my gonal drug which stimulate the ovaries and that i would be injecting myself for 4 weeks.On this treatment I start injecting myself on day 2 of my cycle with the drugs that stimulate my ovaries and then follwed by a drug that controls my ovulation, so in total Im injecting myself less then 2 weeks, which is good as I hate needles but it does worry me that its different than last time, weather thats good or bad I dont know?So the good news is that we start the treatment on my next cycle!!!! which is monday 24th March!!!! How quick is that? Its all getting scary again!!! Ive already been given my drugs, last time I was on 225mg a day of the gonal drug, now they have up me to 300mg a day, so we shall see how my body rects to that.We did have some bad news though, in january my hubby had to do another sperm test, I asked on Thursday how this went and the consulate didnt want to give me the result so I had a go at him and said its our right to know, the first time my hubby was tested last year he had 1million per mil at 77% abnormal, and on the day of my egg collection last year it was 5million per ml with 82% abnormal, well this time it was bad, very bad, they found only 1 sperm!!!! yea 1 sperm!!! We were both shocked and my hubby just sat there in silence, I felt so sorry for him, he has been takeung serval vitaims a day and has stopped drink, he has been doing these both since Sept last year, so I did most of the talking and asked if there was a way they could go in through needle into my hbby testicals on the day of egg collection if there wasnt enough sperm, they said that we should'nt worry and that if his sperm was poor on egg collection day then they would get him to do another one and that if that too wasnt good then they would frezee my eggs.God I dont know, my hubby is really against sperm doner and will not even think about it so lets all just hop and pay that theyfind some good sperm, at the end of it all my hubby turned to me and said that he is stopping the vitaims and is going to start drinking again!!!! LOLSo we should have egg collection around 7th April!!!!I Hope you are all well?
