Hi all, this is my first journal. My partner and myself had IVF last month ( May ) and it failed, my husband has a low sperm count, we had a treatment called ICIS, they got 7 eggs out of me and 24 hrs later only 3 were left, we were phoned 24hrs later again and was told that only 2 were left and to come down and have them put in me, that was 20th May, I was told to do a pregnantcy test on 1st June my peroid would have been due around 31st May, but on Wed 23rd May I got really bad stomach pains, and I mean really bad, I couldn't walk, the hospital told me to take some pain killers and rest.  On sunday 27th May I woke up to find that I was bleeding and bleeding really heavy, Ive never had a period like that in my life, it lasted for 6 days solid and really heavy throughout the 6 days, I phoned the hospital and theybooked me an appointment for the 4th July, they said it was time for us to get over it and that over in the UK they wont let you have another treatment for 3 months. My next period was due on 23rd June, but I haven't come on yet, Ive done a test and it came up negative, we have our appointment next week so I will find out if this is normal not having a period, if not then I might get  them to do a scan of my womb to confirm that everything is ok down there, as you don't really know what these drugs do to you.We also went to see our NHS doctor to see if we can get a free treatment on the NHS, we do qualify but will have to wait up to 4 years!! but its worth going on the waiting list, we can afford about 2 more treatments then we will have to wait for the NHS free treatment, our treatment cost £5500 for each cycle, that includes the drugs and freezeing of any eggs.So now that I have updated you, I can now keep you up to date with my Jounal. Please feel free to write to me to be my friend, you can never have enough freinds at this time in your life and espeically ones who know and understand what you are going through.Love to you all
