Hey everyone~~ Lexapro has been going good for me at the 20 mg dose.  that's the good news.  the less good news is that this morning, i experienced striking lights in my feild of vision, started out on the far left periphial area, then eventually 20 minutes or so stretched acrossed my entire vision area, with eyes open or shut.  scared the crap out of me...........called the doctor in a panic, he tells me it's a migrane aura.  and that now, i may begin having migrane headaches.  anyone know anything about these?  i had no idea, how bad something like this is.  i thought i was having a latent side effect to the lexapro.  it, of course made me panic hard, which i haven't done in a while.  so, i took xanax, and within ten to fifteen minutes i was better and so was this waving bright light, (almost like a backwards running ekg) in my field of vision had cleared up.  anyway, curious if any of you know anything about this.  since, i didn't have a "migraine" headache following it, my doctor says perhaps no meds for it now, wait and see.  it was extremely scary and the entire incident lasted about 30 to 45 minutes.  Also, while there we discussed my smoking goal, which I have not been able to abstain from the cigarettes.  He has decided to add 150 mg wellbutrin sr to my compound.  anyone with any info on this combined with lexapro would be a great help also.  I am kind of frightened to add meds. i fee it may interrupt this comfort zone I've found.  He wants me to take 150 mg for 3 days then up to 2 pills per day for a total of 300 mg in a single day.  Help and support needed here, my good friends.  Peace for now.  John

Wow, that is scary! All I can say is that Lexapro has done wonders for me, but that\'s the only med I take. Maybe this aura was only temporary. I hope you find the comfort you\'re seeking. You deserve it. Oli

hope you\'re getting past the migraine aura\'s and that they have completely subsided. as far as lexapro and wellbutrin, they are a good combination. i used to take both of them at one point, and i know several people who take the same cocktail of little pills. you shouldn\'t experience any troubles. the wellbutrin may actually assist you in quitting smoking and it will give you more energy. one item worth noting, is that wellbutrin often triggers anxiety attacks in most people, so just monitor it closely. if your anxiety attacks increase, then you may want to come down on the wellbutrin dose. take it easy, my friend. :)
