Journey!
Tomorrow morning (Wednesday) I am leaving for a trip to Arkansas. We lived there for 17 years and have many friends there. This will be the first time I have ever traveled alone but I need to do this. Everything on the car has been checked, got gas, stopped mail and everything is in the car. A good friend of mine has gratiously invited me to stay with her, or did I invite myself?? Not sure but I hope she is ready for me cause here I come!! On Saturday there will be a potluck and several friends are coming over for a visit. Looking forward to seeing them all. My Buddy is at my son & dil's and I miss him already. I am taking my laptop and will check in some. I hope you all have a good week and I need to say again how much you all mean to me. Big Hugs! pat

Dear Pat, I wish you a wonderful trip! It\'s great that you are doing this, I wish I had the courage:-) How far are you driving? We live in Florida & I\'d love to go to Maryland, where we lived for 34 yrs, & I have family, as well as friends!

Hi Pat, I will be thinking about you as you travel. I\'ve taken one weekend trip alone since I lost my dear one. I was nervous about it but it was a good experience. Hope you have a great trip and it lifts your spirits. Each thing we do alone is a new adventure. Love and hugs, Doris
Good morning, Lois & Doris, Thanks to both of you for commenting on my journal. The trip here was long, 11 hrs, and tiring. But I did not want to spend the night on the road. On the drive up I enjoyed the the beauty of the Ozarks that was our home for 17 yrs. I do still miss it ! I have lots of friends to see but I am moving extremely slow this morning. Sitting here drinking coffee and the view is great. Just as I was driving into her driveway I sawmy first deer in 5 years. There are deer, wild turkey and bears. Now who would not like that. I hope you all have a good day and a better weekend. Hugs

I am a little late but it is good to here you are going to do this it is a big step and not easy to do I\'m sure but have a great time, it will be good to see all of your old friends.
