My hubby and I are in Dallas tonight. We are to be at the Neurologist's at 7 am tomorrow morning for tests on head and back. I finally got through to her yesterday and after I told her of all of his problems she ordered tests done immediately. They are ordering a wheel chair, occupational therapy, aides to help with basics and nutritional information for hubby. I am sure it will take a little while but at least it is started.
I finally had a " small " talk with our son and dil. I am hoping that they will both realize how much I need help. A little strained on the phone today but if that is how it will be I can live with it.
Now, Marcia ( Sam03) ..... Don't give me a lecture. LOL I know that it was time. I think I just got soooo tired that I realized if I have to "spell" it out to them that is how it will be.

Remember I have an only son and a DIL too....LOL. So glad you are getting tests done. May I call you over christmas. Bob is in Illinois with his family (a whole other story) and I will be back on the mountain having Christmas dinner at my house for friends. I\'ll be staying on that mountain too!

Pat, i know just how you feel,i don\'t think my children realise how tiring looking after their dad is for me either,i have had to go for counselling because he has got me so down,it is so sad that he has come to this,he was always such a lovely loving man ,now he seems to have changed completely,i hope you get some respite with your hubby,i will be thinking of you both and praying that you get the help you need,love and big hugs my friend,nell.
Hooooray Pat!!! So glad you are getting help finally! And if it took a small talk to get through to your son and DIL, then so be it. I have 2 sons, no daughters so I am kind of in the same spot. Because husband and I do everything ourselves, they think we do it effortlessly.....NOT.......I hope I don\'t have to start wearing those big baggy moo moo dresses and orthopaedic shoes for them to realize I\'m not as young as they think I am!! hahaha.....take care dear lady.....my thoughts and prayers are with you and hubby.....keep us posted! xoxo Mel

I know how it is as George and I go through this each day. We as there wives will endure as they go through this change . they will need us more each day. for the support and love that they need.
