What makes the difference... why is it different from philosophy, folklore, mythology, legend, superstition, even ideology! I was reading yesterday about the different "theories" of Creation, particularly those explanations that different cultures have had on it thru the centuries... having an interest in cultural beliefs I notice the presence of common characteristics in the narratives... of course man and woman as the foundation of civilization thru various events each culture has to explain it... yet it is those elements that upon close observation allow me to see that the Bibles account (not story) encompasses all the ingredients that you find scattered among the legends and folklore of other cultures... within Judaism is the foundation of who we are... and as christians grafted into that Truth... Islam from my limited understanding has elements of that truth yet upholds variations that deviate from those accounts. In writting this I am trying to direct others into searching deeper into the scriptures, the meaning and layers of information and "revelation" contained within those pages... by my own experience there is no other book like it, a book that can reflect your life within it's pages, a book of counsel to address your circumstances, and for those who are interested in prophesy a book that defies the natural principals of time.
