This may read to some as the outline for fantasy, credibility hinges on a fine line in a discussion as this one, practically all cultures have made reference to this human condition, scientist and healthcare providers have "coined" interesting terms for it, the bible has references to it from the beginning of time. Plainly said, our environment consists of a struggle between Light and darkness, Good and evil, Life and death, The Kingdom of God and the principalities of this world. Whether you choose to look at it from the view of natural occurances in our daily living, or "see" further with your spiritual eyes, the discernment of Our Father, Spiritual warfare is part of our reality. As beautiful as our surroundings can be, it is what is not in plain view that has an influence upon us. What do we nurture our hearts with, who do we pray to when in need, who receives our gratitude when things are going good, who gets the blame for when things are in disarray, faith is confidence where do we place it. Personally, I once would look at the symbol of yin/yang and as presented, thought of it as a sign of harmony... until I looked closer... there is darkness in the circle and there is a boundary in which both light and darkness are pressured AGAINST each other, like two wrestlers seeking in movement a way to overcome the other... that is not harmony, but instead conflict... a war.The chessboard has two players, one represents light and the other darkness... each movement provides an effect... God is Good and therefore all things Good come from the Father, so that leaves us with the opponent... to steal, kill, and destroy... as a lion standingby waiting to devour his prey. Jesus, however, came that we may have life and have it more abundantly. Have you ever noticed how you can do something that is considered good, and then find yourself doing something later that is the contrary... some will cry out "but I was doing so well"... two movements on the chessboard of your life. The closer you get to Our Lord, yes the battle intensifies, the plays might even take longer as the strategy requires more precision... however when you foster the relationship with Jesus, He will not leave you... even when you've been placed on check by the opponent... remember it was God who created all things, who rather than destroy us extended the opportunity to be reconciled... at the price of offering of Himself a sacrifice, the Lamb of God, Jesus who was and is an extension of Himself. Stay strong, embrace that which is Good, most importantly get close to Jesus, ask for forgiveness and He can provide it, ask for restoration and He can do it, ask for His Presence and He will show you, and most of all Love God and you will have a Father forever!Lord please listen to the prayers of your children that they may be willing to accept your love, in the Name of Jesus I ask and pray, Amen!
