Why the suffering... we have to go back to our understanding of the past. Thru Adam we were to have dominion over all the earth, to do as God does... create and look after all that contained within this world. Everything was already theirs (Adam & Eves). The Serpent, which was used by God's former Archangel and Worship leader Lucifer, intented to obtain the throne of Our Father by deceiving Adam and Eve into thinking that they lacked something, when in fact God had provided all that was good and for their benefit.  If you notice in the accounts of the bible, God makes convenants, or simply put agreements which He honors. When the children of Eden disobey God and take from the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, it becomes an agreement, a transfer if you will of possesion over the earth... in modern day terms a real estate transaction which was shady. Father gives His created son a business to keep and run, son gives his business to who he thought was a "friend". The enemy of God takes advantage of God's children in an attempt to gain leverage and territory. God could have started over, but He is keeping to His Promise of having provided this earth for man's use... Noah is a precursor and representation of God's restoration, the consideration to Noah and family that we see is the promise of a new beginning. Just as Jesus will do for His Children... Jesus even makes reference to "as in the days of Noah". For those with an interest in the Bible Code, look on either side of Jesus' presence on Earth, and you find similariities between John the Baptist and the Apostle Paul, I have heard several ministers of the Gospel reference how Jesus is represented in every character of the Old Testament. I am aware of the Lamb offered by God to prevent having Abraham's sacrifice of Isaac, then there is Joseph who by his suffering at the hands of Egypt rises to provide salvation for the tribes of Israel, with his Egyptian name meaning "the Saviour". Passover is representation of salvation as well, the Blood of the Lamb on the door posts of the homes of the Hebrews to guard them from the Angel of Death, Jesus' ressurection represented there in that death will not affect those whom are the children of God. Jesus offers us the restoration of our re-connection to God, and the preparation for the changes to take place in what appears more and more today as looking like the days of Noah, the references of Daniel, Eziequel, and other prophets. The suffering is the spiritual warfare taking place around us. The spiritual (sources of energy) are the unseen which affect us continually. There are two paths and each lead to a different place, the eternal presence of God is one, the other is separation from the source of life.The future is written, because God's adversary knows somethings for having been an Archangel (like appearing as an angel of light), he has some skills... stay close to Our Saviour and God who will give you of His wisdom, but even more importantly His Love which encompasses everything a perfect Father can be. When He calls listen to Him, if you seek Him with all your heart and love, you will find Him.God's Love be with you!
