In a previous journal entry I spoke about how things take place in both the physical as well as in the spiritual. The spirit is a life force, before accepting Jesus, it's like your spirit has a time clock on it that will only let you go so far before it stops... if you read the ages of the First Children of God in the Old Testament, you'll notice that their ages begin to decrease from one genration to another. The spirit when connected to Our Creator has no time clock so to say.We know that the spirit determines the functioning of the body, without the spirit we become just a biomechanical thing without life. Compare it to your cell phone, if the battery runs out (energy/spirit) it couldn't do what it's suppose to. The remedy is that thru Jesus (God Himself becoming man) we regain that connection back to the Spirit of God. Read about the Garden of Eden, after Adam and Eve disobey God by eating of the forbidden tree, God knows something is wrong and calls out for them, an indication of separation that took place because of sin, a distancing from Him (God). So to get back to the way it was before, you have to seek a relationship with God (Father, Jesus, and His Holy Spirit). How do you do that... acknowledge several things, declare that you understand and believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He rose from the dead (that is the victory over death), that you will follow His Commandments (1- Love God with all your heart, mind, spirit, strength)(2- Love everyone else as if it were you) which is the basis for the 10 Commandments. Seek a relationship with Jesus. Once you start doing that, and then start reading sections of the Bible you'll see it differently. God gives us all gifts, and is able to use anything and everything to have His plans carried out. There are no coincidences, He places people and things in place according to a greater plan. The "enemy" on the other hand tries to disregard God's authority thru all thoughts and actions which result in pain, suffering, deception, he "steals, kills, & destroys"...The greater purpose of our existence is to be connected to God, everything else will follow, He's Our Father. When you accept Jesus, His Holy Spirit is incorporated within you to guide you. When you do good, you do it out of the character of Jesus and God Himself, at that moment you are doing things to His perfection. Jesus said (paraphrased),"... I have come so that you might have life and have it more abundantly."The Lord's Peace be with you all!
