I am grateful to a DS friend, who shared the following points on the scars we carry thru-out life:
1) Scars show that we struggled and suffered through our pain, but also that we survived.
2) Although, every scar reflects our pains, our sorrows, our deepest sadness, it also represents our strength, our
will to survive and to keep going.
3) You never really know what people have gone through and what scars (we) hide.
4) We are all struggling in one way or another, but we're surviving. We're surviving (each of our trials).
Expanded thought;
The Lord has placed into our hands principles and natural laws for us to survive, however there is a step beyond that... Adam & Eve had all things at their disposal, except the tree of Good & evil. After their transgression, they acquired something that they didn't have before and that was death. I believe that Our Father equipped them/us with then principles such as faith in order to survive. Today people gain strength by putting their faith in all sorts of things, how effective depends on what, other belief systems, philosophies, ideals can only take you so far, but there is only one that offers you immortality, faith in Jesus Christ (one with the Father and the Holy Spirit).
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
John 14:6
Jesus said to them, Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, if someone says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. For this reason I tell you, whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:22-24
Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even if he dies, and the one who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this? She replied, Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God who comes into the world.
John 11:25-27
If we look at our scars carefully they will prepare us for something much better. The clay pot has to go thru the furnace in order to acquire the strength for the Potter to finish his work.

Thank you so much for the analogy of the clay pot, and a reminder of what Christ endured for us. It\'s so easy for me to feel sorry for myself at times, I lose track of what our scars really mean. This has been such an inspiration to me!
